Where do we even start. We spent a long time researching which company or website we should hire a campervan with, but based on the reviews of Goboony, and of course Bruno the van, we decided to go with Garry. Garry the owner of the van is the loveliest human you could ever meet. From the start, he picked us up from the hotel in Edinburgh (which was not a given but he offered). He then very thoroughly went through the van and how everything worked for us. A lot of information are all included in a plastic folder for us the review if we needed to. The van was clean and easy to drive, and not as big as we thought for the highland roads. The bed was comfortable (although if you’re tall like my partner, 185cm, then you may have to sleep on an angle) and the soundproofing and insulation pleasantly surprised us. We parked near busy roads a few nights and honestly the sound didn’t come through that much. On cold nights we didn’t have to add any layers on. The van was very warm (but not stifling hot either). We really lucked out with finding Bruno the van for our 8 day highland adventures. Lastly, Garry dropped us back off at our Airbnb after we returned the van. He really went above and beyond to get us settled in from the start to finish. Meeting Garry was a highlight of our trip and we feel so grateful to have met such a friendly and enthusiastic local (he also has 2 of the sweetest dogs!) Highly highly HIGHLY recommend hiring a van through Garry. He’ll definitely look after you! (We also stupidly left a pair of sunglasses in the van, but he has offered to post it overseas back for us. Thank you so much Garry!!)

Had a wonderful trip to Alpe D'Huez. Spacious, clean camper fully equipped. We departed after a helpful explanation from the owners. The camper drives wonderfully and has more than enough horsepower to perform well on both the highways and in the mountains.

Superb experience!! Amazing hosts!! The camper handled perfectly for our trip, we rented for 2 weeks to visit Italy and Slovenia. Great internal size and easy to go around the narrow streets of Italy. Not only recommend but definitely woyld rent again!! Thank you so much!!!

Very friendly people who are open to flexibility regarding picking up and returning the bus! It was great that we were allowed to use this. The van was well-built and all the necessities were present!

Nice and clean camper! Communication with the owners went very smoothly and the explanation about the camper was clear. When I still had a question later on, I was able to call the owner for some extra clarification. The camper is reasonably compact, which makes it easy to drive. At the same time, the camper is spacious inside due to an efficient layout. You can turn the table into an extra bed, which was also handy with our baby.

Kevin was very helpful answering questions before we arrived and then gave us a very thorough handover, so we felt fully prepared for our first campervan trip. We headed off on the NC500 and had a fantastic time, highly recommend doing the circuit in May! A quick blast on the diesel heater was really nice on the colder mornings too.

Sarah was super helpful and responsive from the booking right through to me returning the motorhome. We had a lovely sunny week at Seacroft site in Norfolk, lovely coast, friendly people and we picked the best week for weather. Motorhome was easy to drive and use, for us it’s our first time and using it to shape our requirements to buy our own, so it had almost everything we needed and identified the extra things we want. Also my first time using goboony, so that plus great owners and a fab sunny week in north Norfolk it has been a great experience all-round

We hired Michelle & Fayaz’s gorgeous van Haystacks to drive the North Coast 500 over ten days in May 2026. In the lead up to the trip they couldn’t have been more helpful in answering any questions about the van and its contents. Likewise with the handover, they were so welcoming and showed us everything we needed to know. They were also on hand via Watsapp or phone if we had any questions en route. The trip was brilliant, a real adventure, and to have the van to sleep in, cook, keep warm and relax made for a real home from home. The beds were cosy and comfortable with the option of heating on a chilly day or night. The kitchen was kitted out with everything we needed and the lighting was great too. The van had lots of thoughtful touches such as travel books and puzzles. It was our first time experiencing van life and we loved it. Thank you!
