An absolutely brilliant experience from start to finish, and I can't recommend Gertjan and his camper highly enough. Communication was a real highlight. Gertjan was happy to chat the whole way through, which made everything so easy, and he was wonderfully flexible and relaxed about pickup and drop-off rather than being strict on timing. He even collected me from Ljubljana airport and drove me back at the end of the trip. He's also a car mechanic, and honestly that gave me huge peace of mind. It's one thing to rent a van that looks good, but knowing it was in genuinely excellent mechanical shape meant I never had a single worry on the road. And the van itself completely surprised me. It's a nineties VW California, so you might expect a bit less comfort, but the opposite is true. It's a fantastic drive, smooth and confidence inspiring even over the Vršič pass, and it's clearly been looked after beautifully. It has everything you could need: a two burner gas hob, a fridge that worked perfectly, comfortable bedding, and a layout that's genuinely easy to switch from driving mode to sleeping mode and back. It made ten days of solo travel through Bled, Bohinj, Bovec and Kobarid feel effortless. One lovely thing to know is that Gertjan is a real people person who clearly cares about his guests. He'll happily talk you through everything and share his enthusiasm, and you can tell the van and the whole experience really matter to him. Thank you Gertjan for an unforgettable trip. I'd rent from you again in a heartbeat.

Nice compact camper and friendly, helpful owners. The lift-up bed means that despite its compact size, you can still sleep 3 or 4 people. I am 1.94m tall and slept well; it fits comfortably. The camper drives smoothly, and thanks to the reversing camera, included navigation, and Spotify Bluetooth, you have everything you need on the road.

This camper is an absolute dream. Not only is it a beauty, but it is so well equipped, clean, efficient and gives you the ability to get out in the Scottish wilderness (or elsewhere) and be 100% autonomous. Where do we even start. We spent a long time researching which company or website we should hire a campervan with, but based on the reviews of Goboony, and of course Bruno the van, we decided to go with Garry. Garry the owner of the van is the loveliest human you could ever meet. From the start, he picked us up from the hotel in Edinburgh (which was not a given but he offered). He then very thoroughly went through the van and how everything worked for us. A lot of information are all included in a plastic folder for us the review if we needed to. The van was clean and easy to drive, and not as big as we thought for the highland roads. The bed was comfortable (although if you’re tall like my partner, 185cm, then you may have to sleep on an angle) and the soundproofing and insulation pleasantly surprised us. We parked near busy roads a few nights and honestly the sound didn’t come through that much. On cold nights we didn’t have to add any layers on. The van was very warm (but not stifling hot either). We really lucked out with finding Bruno the van for our 8 day highland adventures. Lastly, Garry dropped us back off at our Airbnb after we returned the van. He really went above and beyond to get us settled in from the start to finish. Meeting Garry was a highlight of our trip and we feel so grateful to have met such a friendly and enthusiastic local (he also has 2 of the sweetest dogs!) Highly highly HIGHLY recommend hiring a van through Garry. He’ll definitely look after you! (We also stupidly left a pair of sunglasses in the van, but he has offered to post it overseas back for us. Thank you so much Garry!!)
