Birdie – our tiny house on wheels from 2024 - 2 p.

Finally, our brand new camper is finished! And it turned out beautiful! We have a lot of travel plans but in between we also want to rent our camper to other travel enthusiasts.

We deliberately chose a compact model – only 5m50 long, just a bit longer & higher than our old VW California (and much more comfortable… see further). But actually just as easy to drive & park. We don’t like to be on the road with a truck… So deliberately no indoor shower here, but what a great open space you get in return!

And we had it completely furnished according to our wishes by SEC Mobile Solutions early 2024. With lots of wood, rattan, bookcase, curtains and summer fabrics. Super cozy, a real tiny house feeling. No slick, shiny formica and standard caravan furnishings for us... And with all the luxury and comfort, of course.

We choose to rent to 'slow travelers' who stay in Belgium or in neighboring countries - free kilometers per week max 1,250. And caring people who honor our 'Birdie'... Hopefully we can meet soon and you can make an unforgettable trip! Free as a bird...

LIVING AREA AND KITCHEN
 Living/dining area/dinette with 2 wide sofas opposite each other and a large floating table in between. Perfect for eating, reading or working. Or just lying down and chilling. Taking an afternoon nap with two is perfectly possible without conversion.
 Kitchen with gas stove (with full gas bottle), fridge with freezer, tap & sink, kitchen cupboards. Omnia oven to bake rolls e.g. Dolce Gusto coffee machine (good coffee is important!), can also be used as a kettle for tea. There is also a portable gas stove to possibly cook outside.
 Cutlery, plates, glasses, pots and pans, salad bowl… are provided.
 Front passenger seat can rotate towards the kitchen/living area
 many windows, lots of light, lots of ventilation! 2 roof windows, 1 with a fan, 2 tilt windows on the sides, 2 fixed windows at the back, all equipped with blackout and fly screens.
 LED mood lighting that you can dim with a remote control
 8 power sockets (230V) and USB charging ports, linked to a large capacity lithium battery (210 Ah, you can use it for several days!) and a 2000W inverter for 230V. The battery is recharged during the rides and also via 2 solar panels on the roof.
 ample storage space in 4 drawers and 7 cupboards
 In cold weather, the Webasto interior heating provides pleasantly warm air in the interior, even when the car is stationary of course.
 A clean and dirty water tank make the camper environmentally friendly.

TO SLEEP
 No fixed beds but in the blink of an eye (30 seconds!) you can transform the dining area into an XL bed of 1m80 wide and 1m96 long (left) and 1m78 (right). We think a good night's sleep is super important and that is why we also have 2 luxury mattress toppers with hotel quality memory foam
 Our bed system also allows you to create 2 single beds with a corridor in between! So that going to the toilet at night becomes very simple. This is the setup that we use the most. Super handy!
 As a night toilet we have a Bivvy Loo toilet. Works very well. For the rest we keep toilet facilities outside the camper as much as possible.
 We provide clean fitted sheets for the mattresses. It is best to bring your own duvet, but if necessary we can also provide our 2 duvets.
 230V bedside reading lamps with plenty of reading light
 For darkening the front we have an insulating outer cover that seals everything off perfectly and can also provide insulation during the day.

OUTDOOR LIVING
 2 high back folding chairs (adjustable) + dining table are at the back of the garage/trunk. Also a footstool which makes the chair a comfortable lounger.
 parasol to sit in the shade. We can also provide a shade cloth that is attached to the camper.
 'Van 'n bike' bicycle carrier for 2 (electric) bicycles. Can be turned away with the bicycles on so that the rear doors can simply be opened. If no bicycles are going on the trip, the bicycle carrier can be folded completely so that it sits almost flat against the rear doors.
 Of course there is also a spacious suitcase to take badminton sets, etc. with you.

TO RIDE
 Brand new Fiat Ducato diesel 180hp automatic 9-speed – drives very smoothly! And enough power even in the mountains. Size L2H2.
 Full option for comfort & safety: front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, adaptive cruise control, line assistance, air conditioning, GPS, Apple Car, Android Auto, etc…
 at 5m50 long, driving and parking is almost as easy as with a regular car. Most campers for rent are 6m or more…
 We will also remain available during your trip for questions or problems. A comprehensive insurance and breakdown assistance are included as standard in the rental price.

EXTRA ENTERTAINMENT
 We have a projector (Epson EF12) and a 55 inch projection screen to watch Netflix on a big screen, from your bed. With chromecast and Android TV. It may be a bit over the top, but we just did it 😊
