Meet Bus, my faithful T5 from 2009.
Bus loves the outdoors. Of vast landscapes and dense forests. And from the open road. Bus likes to be on the road. Discover new destinations. Revisiting old favorite places. From the beaches in Portugal, to the fjords in Norway and the mountains in the Balkans: Bus saw it all. A weekend at a campsite in the Ardennes, Bus has also done that often. Short or long, closer or far away. Everything is possible.
Buses are less likely to like big cities with LEZ zones. Or driving very fast on the Deutsche Autobahn. He leaves that to the younger generation.
The bus was designed as flexibly as possible. In single-person mode there is a free passage from front to back. If there are two of you, you can extend the sleeping area with the custom-made pillows and create extra storage space under the 140 cm wide bed. You receive 4 curver boxes as standard, and 2 more (roof) boxes can be added if desired. In the cupboards you always have your clothes, toiletries and smaller items quickly at hand. Cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils and food can be stored in the large drawers and storage cupboard. These are - just like the extendable table - provided with formica, which makes them very easy to clean.
A 40L refrigerator and a toilet mean that you can spend the night freely in nature where possible. You can take a wonderful shower with the simple outdoor shower when the sun is shining. Without sun it's a little cooler. The solar panel provides enough electricity to charge the refrigerator and all your 12V appliances. If you are at a campsite and you have electricity supplied, you can also use the built-in 220V sockets (useful for your laptop, for example). For cold destinations or cool nights, Bus is equipped with a diesel heating that does not require separate electricity or gas.
Thanks to the off-road tires - approved as winter tires - you don't have to shy away from an unpaved road. This way you can reach places that are otherwise inaccessible. Bus is not a 4x4 vehicle. As long as the road is dry and hard, and the ride is scratch-free, you will be fine. Loose sand and mud are to be avoided.
Of course you also get a (large, foldable bamboo) table and 2 chairs, a gas fire for cooking, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery, and everything else that might be useful on the road. Also blackout and insulating screens for all windows and extra ventilation grilles for the night, that goes without saying.
Need a bicycle rack or motorcycle trailer? You can rent this extra. Everything is possible 😊
The bus likes to be used for what it was made for, and if it is treated with the necessary respect, it will certainly give you an unforgettable adventure.
We look forward to getting to know you and are happy to discuss your wishes in advance so that we can provide Bus in the best possible layout.
See you soon!
