Meet “The Nugg”, our fun and handy campervan with a lifting roof! We already have some nice trips and journeys behind us with our Nugg and it is super handy that it simply fits in a normal parking space! We set it up completely in less than fifteen minutes, and in almost the same time it is ready to drive again, really super handy. With its mechanical limited slip differential at the front, it also has more grip on wet grass or sand. With its 42 liter water tank and good battery, it is no problem to camp off-grid for 2 days. It is also nice that the sliding doors can be opened on both sides, which is not the case with many campervans. Under the hood is a diesel engine (Euro standard 6d) of 150 HP.
“The Nugg” is equipped with everything you need to travel very comfortably with 2 people. You can also easily travel with four people, but then you will of course have less space. What does “The Nugg” have to offer?
- a leather back seat for 3 people
- reversible leather front seats
- a seating/dining area completely separate from the kitchen, which can be converted into a smaller double bed
- a double bed in the lifting roof
- an L-shaped kitchen where you can stand upright with 2 hobs and a spacious fridge
- a built-in diesel heater for cold days or nights
- a fixed chemical toilet (special rapidly biodegradable toilet paper included)
- hot water (by means of a small boiler)
- a shower head that you can hang outside the van (also with hot water)
- mosquito net on 1 sliding door and for the tailgate
- 2 sturdy camping chairs and an outdoor table.
- Environmental sticker for France and Germany
and: a large awning, steps on both sides, power cables to connect to a campsite, various cupboards and storage spaces, USB connections, Radio/GPS with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, foldable water bottle, washing line and clothes pegs, 12V car vacuum cleaner.
Added/converted afterwards (December '23):
- ventilation of the toilet cassette to the outside (there was hardly any odor nuisance from the toilet, but now there is none at all)
- folding shelf above the toilet (where you can put things or sit on, and which means the toilet is not so visible)
- raised/extra shelf in the kitchen (very useful, for example to pass things to the seat)
- mini table/sink lid (handy to have a table on the road).
What else can you get (for free):
- crockery and cutlery for max. 4 persons
- foldable dishwashing bowl
- coffee+ 'Italian coffee maker'
- 2 extra camping chairs
- camping cookware (from Campinggaz)
In terms of driver assistance systems, “The Nugg” is equipped with:
- blind spot sensors
- adaptive cruise control
- front assist
- rear view camera
- front and rear parking sensors
- lane assist
- traffic sign recognition
“The Nugg” is always delivered clean with a full tank, filled water tanks, a full battery and a ready-to-use toilet. We expect it back with a full tank, an emptied chemical toilet and drained dirty water. You can safely park your own car on our driveway (quiet dead-end street). As a renter, you are also responsible for ensuring that the total weight of the car (incl. load) does not exceed 3.5t.
If you feel like exploring Europe with this wonderfully handy sturdy box, don't hesitate to contact us! Of course, we will gladly give you a thorough explanation in advance about how everything works in our camper so that you can enjoy your trip without worries!
PS: Standard rental starts at 15h. Return is standard at 11h in the morning at the latest. The reason for this: so that we as a landlord still have 4 hours to make the camper ready for the next tenant.
Please understand that picking up early and/or returning late is not always possible. Otherwise we have to block extra days for renting (or ask the renters to return the camper early, or ask the renters afterwards to come later, which is all a bit difficult for a renter.) Thank you for your understanding.
