Meet Toto.
Emotional description:
Toto is the result of a years-long conversion carried out during the height of Covid times between 2020 and 2022.
Toto has already provided us (my wife, my young son, and myself) with countless unforgettable adventures (Canada, the USA, Spain, France, the UK, etc.) and has become an indispensable part of our lives. However, due to a recent family expansion from three to four, we can no longer travel with him as a whole family, so we decided to rent Toto out so he can continue doing what he does best: giving people an unforgettable time. We are looking for renters who will cherish Toto and treat the campervan as if it were their own, knowing how dearly this vehicle is held by its owners.
Technical description
Toto is 7m long and therefore offers a lot of space.
A 2m-long bed was installed lengthwise to ensure a good night's sleep for tall people like me (1.93m). There's plenty of space under the bed for luggage, surfboards, snowboards, kite gear, and more (note: regular bikes won't fit).
Toto has a robust electrical system, including two solar panels with a combined output of 320W, a 150Ah LiFePO4 battery that can withstand cold temperatures, an inverter to power eight 220V outlets with a combined output of up to 400W, a DC-DC charger that charges the house battery while driving, and NO shore power connection (we don't often stay at campsites). Consumers include a 115-liter refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a gas-powered heater, numerous lighting points, and a roof fan to keep the camper cooler (no air conditioning!).
The water system consists of an 85-liter water tank, a kitchen sink with a tap, and a 21-liter wastewater tank (which must be emptied manually on time). There's also a connection for an outdoor shower in the rear of the trunk. There is NO hot water. There's also a (portable) porta potti (toilet) under one of the seats (which also must be emptied manually on time).
For cooking, there's a double gas stove with a full propane cylinder included. This cylinder is also connected to a thermostatically controlled heater. Because a lot of work went into insulating the camper, it's easy to keep it toasty on cooler nights or in colder destinations.
There are two armchairs that can be converted into an extra bed for a child up to approximately 1.20 m tall. A dining table can be pulled out of the bed.
There's a spacious countertop for cooking (please never cook directly on the wooden countertop, but rather use cutting boards and placemats). There's also a handy hatch between the driver's cabin and the living area that can be opened to (i) let in extra light, (ii) provide a better view of cyclists next to you while driving, or it can be closed to (i) block out the light, and (ii) keep the heat or cold (due to the many windows) out of the driver's cabin. The campervan also has plenty of useful cupboard space and basic kitchen utensils (plates, cutlery, bowls, cups, pots, pans, etc.). For a small additional fee (€4/day), we can provide two comfortable folding chairs and a small table.
There are three passenger seats in the front. The camper has a manual transmission (6-speed) and runs on diesel. The engine is quite powerful (129 hp). A reversing camera is installed next to the license plate, and the image is displayed on the stereo. There is no air conditioning, but if needed, there are fans that can be attached to the roof or windshield. If needed, a child seat can be secured to the middle seat with a belt (there is no ISOFIX) - we can also rent one for an additional fee if needed.
Toto naturally shows signs of wear (both inside and out) but is generally in excellent condition. Naturally, I ensure it is properly and regularly maintained by professionals. So don't expect a brand-new campervan without a scratch, but I can assure you it will offer you all the luxury, comfort, and enjoyment you could wish for.
