After an unforgettable trip through New Zealand, we knew we'd eventually get our own campervan! It took a while, but we recently acquired a fantastic Ford Nugget with a high roof.
The camper is from 2008, but looks brand new inside and out! It also drives fantastically, with its compact dimensions, comfortable seats, cruise control, 140 hp, and 6-speed transmission.
The Nugget has a clever layout with an L-shaped rear kitchen, allowing you to practically cook outdoors with the tailgate open in the summer. The pull-out bed upstairs measures 150x200cm. The three-seater sofa converts into a double bed measuring 130x200cm. With the high bed extended, you can still comfortably sit downstairs. Very convenient if your partner wants to sleep while you read a book or watch a movie. Both front seats swivel, creating a cozy seating area.
What else? The interior is darkenable. Thanks to the parking heater (diesel-powered, so no gas bottle worries...), it stays nice and warm even in freezing temperatures. The underbody was treated with anti-rust treatment at the end of 2022, making the campervan suitable for year-round use (winter sports available upon request). Our Nugget is also equipped with a bike rack, a porta-potti, a large awning, and a tailgate tent. Also important: the campervan has a green German environmental sticker and a French Crit'Air sticker. With these stickers, you can enter most French, German (and even Spanish) cities.
There are two large solar panels on the roof with enough power to use the camper off-grid for most of the year. This gives you plenty of extra freedom and eliminates power stress!
Although the camper is in principle suitable for sleeping upstairs and downstairs, we will be renting it out to a maximum of 2 people from 2026 onwards.
Finally: We live in the north of the country, but if you want to rent our camper for a longer period, we can, after consultation, deliver it to your door and pick it up again!
