Meet Ronja, our lovingly converted campervan that's more than just transportation. She's your ticket to a regenerative road trip through farms, ecovillages, and places where life reconnects with nature.
We are Veerle, Pablo, and our daughter Mila – a vegan family with a heart for animals, the planet, and a restorative lifestyle. Through our involvement with initiatives like Lenteland and places like Wijland, we dream of a future where we run a farm where animals can retire freely.
Because we're traveling outside Europe as a family for a year, Ronja can't join us this time. That's why we're happy to open her up to others: as a Regeneration Bus—a campervan for people who, like us, want to discover regenerative places in the Netherlands and Belgium. Think biodynamic farms, ecovillages, sustainable campsites, and food forests where you can disconnect, help out on the land, and connect with animals that truly thrive.
🛋️ Comfortable living on wheels – Ronja's special interior
Ronja isn't just any van. The space inside surprises everyone:
- Thanks to its height of 2.65 meters, even tall people can stand upright.
There is a spacious seating area where four people can sit comfortably around the table – perfect for a pot of tea, a game, or an inspiring conversation.
- The comfortable double bed (with a soft, continuous mattress – so no gaps!) comes down in the evening via a smooth pulley system.
- With a clever extension option you can even make the bed longer – ideal for long legs.
- An additional sleeping space for a third person is created under the bed, with the perfect fit for a single mattress. This is included, along with an electric pump.
- Solar panel on board, so you can stay in places without power without any worries.
- Refrigerator with freezer compartment and a kitchen with two gas burners and a complete cupboard full of cutlery, cooking utensils, pots, pans and even a camper blender
- A porta potty (mobile toilet) with a discreet screened cubicle for your privacy.
- Lots of cupboard space and three wide, comfortable seats in the front.
- And don't forget: a brand new entertainment and navigation screen with Bluetooth – so you can sing along to your Spotify on the go!
💚 Our dream, your adventure
As a tenant of Ronja you get:
A ready-made overview of regenerative destinations in the Netherlands and Belgium: from Lenteland farms to ecological campsites and small-scale eco-villages.
- Personalized help with planning your route – including tips and contact details for special places.
The freedom to travel with your own pet (provided this is agreed with the accommodation provider – Wijland, for example, does not allow dogs due to free-range chickens).
- A clear request not to smoke in the camper, and not to prepare meat (or other animal products) in our pots and pans. If you do want to eat animal products, we ask that you bring your own cooking utensils. Thank you for your understanding!
During our absence, Ronja is managed in Ede by Jamil, who welcomes you in a friendly manner, explains everything and also keeps in touch upon your return.
🐾 A camper with stories
Ronja has already taken us to unforgettable places:
- Twice to Spain, straight through the Pyrenees.
- To Sweden and Denmark, where we spotted wild boars from the camper.
- On countless trips to organic farms, food forests and eco-initiatives in the Netherlands.
To England and Wales, where we saw puffins from the cliffs.
