Our first real self-built camper van! Because we had such a nice trip, we would like to share our van with others. Our well-maintained Renault Trafic has everything you need for a very nice trip. The van is about 5 meters long and 2.20 high, which makes you inconspicuous as a camper and goes through traffic like a normal van. The lifting roof also makes it possible to stand in the van.
In our van you can sleep upstairs in the pop-up roof where there is a mattress of 1.90x120. If it is windy, for example, you can fold out the couch downstairs into a bed of the same size. In the kitchen you will find a nice stove with two gas burners, sink with tap, refrigerator with freezer, a charging port and switches for the water and lighting. There are also cupboards to store your things and where you can also find kitchen utensils. There you will find everything you need to cook nicely. There is a dishwashing set in the back.
The bus is equipped with an extra battery, which allows you to be off-grid for two days without charging while driving. If the refrigerator is not needed at that moment, it can also be switched off, then it is even longer! At the campsite it is possible to connect the bus to the mains.
We tried to create a kind of 'lounge' area, which is really great for us, so you can easily simulate an evening of watching series on the couch. You also get two folding chairs and a table that is just big enough, but doesn't take up too much space, so that there is enough space left in the loading space for your own things. Next to the loading space there is also a nice outdoor shower, with which you can easily shower in the open air, while you are sheltered between the doors.
In the front you will find a radio with Bluetooth so you can always listen to your own music. If you do not have an Iphone with magsafe, take your own phone holder for navigation!
The bus drives about 1 in 14, sometimes a bit more economical, it also depends on the trip of course. Due to the age of the bus, take into account environmental zones in larger cities. The bus is comfortable, partly due to the newly upholstered front seats with alcantara, which makes you zoom over the road at a speed of 100 km per hour. We do not recommend driving faster than 100 km per hour, partly due to age and noise because you catch a bit more wind.
The bus has a tow bar, so you could take bicycles if you have your own bike carrier.
We bought the bus because we wanted to make a nice trip to the south, so that we also knew for sure that the bus was completely to our liking. Selling is also an option, but so far we have become too attached to it.
We rent out the bus for a hopefully accessible price, so that people can try out the camper life in an accessible way. We hope that
you will be just as enthusiastic as we were after our first camper adventure!
You will receive an extra topper, but please bring your own duvet, as this is the most comfortable way to sleep!
If you have any questions please ask!
