Traveling in a modern campervan with four sleeping and seating areas, fully equipped with all the comforts? Then we'd like to introduce you to our Fijnja: a Pössl 2WIN R Plus (Citroën Jumper) campervan from 2019.
In short, Fijnja offers four full-size berths: two in the rear and two in the pop-up roof, and four seats with seatbelts: two swivel front seats and two on the bench. It also features a fully equipped kitchenette with a two-burner gas stove, sink, and refrigerator, a large central, flexible shower, and a sleeping and living area that can be physically separated by the shower's roller door. Furthermore, it features ample storage space, large tinted windows all around, USB charging ports, an awning, an electric step, and a bike rack for two bikes. In short, the best of both worlds (in our opinion): the advantages of a van (maneuverability, comfort, and practicality) combined with the luxury of an integrated motorhome.
En route:
The modern manual diesel engine with 164 hp will effortlessly take you to the most beautiful destinations. Even current low-emission zones are no problem thanks to its Euro 6 classification. Don't exceed 110 km/h (we don't either); this is better for your own safety, but it also benefits fuel economy: 10 km/h (100 km/h) is easily achievable. Four BFGoodrich All Terrain all-season tires ensure excellent grip year-round, even in poor weather conditions. Furthermore, this van has a Heavy Chassis (including larger brake discs and a heavier suspension), which improves handling and comfort.
Camping:
Cooking is done on 2 gas burners (connected to 2 gas bottles at the back) and the sink is spacious enough for small dishes, rinsing vegetables, etc. The large 80L refrigerator with small freezer compartment works on shore power, battery or gas (handy if you want to be 'off-grid' for a few days).
The seating area, with its wide table and large, extendable tabletop, is spacious enough to seat four adults. If you prefer to create an open seating area, the table is easily removed.
The large windows all around provide plenty of light and are all equipped with pleated blinds and insect screens. Besides the benefits of abundant daylight, the tinted glass also provides optimal privacy during the day. The skylight in the pop-top roof provides even more natural light and is also equipped with a blackout blind and insect screen.
Sleep comfortably on the comfortable double rear bed with a mattress topper (150x195cm) or the double bed in the pop-up roof (130cmx205cm). If needed, the seating area can also be converted into a small bed (75mx150cm). Traveling with (young) children? The rear bed is spacious enough for a bed reducer or a baby or toddler tent, and the pop-up roof bed is equipped with fall protection (a net).
The most unique feature is the large, flexible bathroom in the middle of the bus. The system of two roller doors creates a spacious shower/toilet when closed, large enough for you and/or your child to change. If you're not using the bathroom, open the roller doors to create plenty of space to move around and walk to the kitchenette and the rear bunk.
Furthermore, these roller doors allow you to physically separate the rear bed from the seating area, which is handy if your child or baby is sleeping there and you want to sit up front and chat or watch a movie.
Phones, tablets, and more stay charged with the convenient built-in USB charging stations in the front and rear (four in total). When connected to shore power, you also have access to four electrical outlets throughout the interior.
Outside, you can sit comfortably on the included camping set under a manually extendable awning. Getting in and out is easy with the electric step, and with the sliding door open, you can keep flies out with the large screen door.
The fixed rear-door bike rack is suitable for mountain bikes, racing bikes, or children's bikes. With a maximum weight of 15 kg per bike, it is not suitable for electric bikes or transport/family bikes.
Of course, the campervan is also ideal for traveling as a couple or as a couple. With the pop-up roof closed, it's essentially a regular 2-person campervan. Use the pop-up roof solely for sleeping, and with the rear bed folded up, you'll have a very large luggage compartment at your disposal. In short, plenty of possibilities.
Rent?
We are very flexible regarding pick-up and drop-off times and can arrange them accordingly. Fijnja can be picked up in Groningen City (easily accessible by public transport and/or free public parking for your car during the rental period) or Siddeburen (rural location, free first overnight stay on the property and parking for your car during the rental period).
