Traveling with a young bus camper with 4 sleeping and seating places, equipped with all the comforts? Then we hereby introduce you to our Fijnja: a Pössl 2WIN R Plus (Citroën Jumper) bus camper from 2019.
In short, Fijnja has 4 full-fledged sleeping places: 2 in the back and 2 in the pop-up roof and 4 seats with belts: 2 swivel front seats and 2 seats on the bench. In addition, a fully equipped kitchenette with 2 gas burners, sink and refrigerator, a large central flexible shower room and a sleeping and living area that can be physically separated by the roller door of the shower room. Furthermore, plenty of storage space, large tinted windows all around, USB charging connections, an awning and electric step and a bicycle rack for 2 bicycles. In short, the best of both worlds combined (we think): the advantages of a bus (manoeuvrable, comfortable and practical) combined with the luxury of an integrated camper.
En route:
The modern manual diesel engine with 164 HP will take you effortlessly to the most beautiful destinations. The current environmental zones are also no problem due to the Euro 6 classification. Do not drive faster than 110 km/h (we don't do that ourselves either), for your own safety this is better, but it is also good for consumption: 1 in 12 is easily achievable. Four All-Season tires ensure good grip all year round, even in bad weather conditions. Furthermore, this bus has a Heavy Chassis (including larger brake discs, heavier suspension) which improves road holding and comfort.
Camping:
You can cook on 2 gas burners (connected to 2 gas bottles at the back) and the sink is spacious enough for a small amount of dishes, rinsing vegetables, etc. The large 80L refrigerator with small freezer compartment works on shore power, battery or gas (useful if you want to be 'off-grid' for a few days).
The seating area with wide table and large extendable extension leaf is spacious enough to seat 4 adults. If you want to create an open seating area, the table is easy to remove.
The large windows all around provide plenty of light and are all equipped with pleated blackout and fly screens. In addition to the benefits of plenty of daylight, you can also enjoy optimum privacy during the day thanks to the tinted glass. The skylight in the pop-up roof provides even more daylight and is also equipped with blackout and fly screen.
Sleeping is possible on the comfortable double rear bed with mattress topper (150x195cm) or the double bed in the lifting roof (130cmx205cm). And if necessary, the sitting area can also be made into a small bed (75mx150cm). Are you traveling with (young) children? The rear bed is spacious enough for a bed reducer or baby or toddler tent and the bed in the lifting roof is equipped with fall protection (a net).
The most unique feature is the large flexible bathroom in the middle of the bus. The system of 2 roller doors provides a spacious shower/toilet when closed, large enough to change yourself and/or child. Not using the bathroom? With the roller doors open, there is plenty of room to move and walk around the kitchenette and to the rear bed.
Furthermore, these roller doors allow you to physically close off the rear bed from the seating area, which is useful if your child or baby is sleeping there and you want to sit in the front and chat or watch a movie.
Phones, tablets, etc. always stay charged with the handy built-in USB charging points in the front and back (4 in total). Connected to shore power, you also have access to 4 power outlets spread throughout the interior.
Outside you can sit comfortably on the included camping set under an awning that can be turned out manually. Getting in and out is easy via the electric step and you can keep flies outside with the sliding door open through the large screen door.
The fixed bike carrier on the back door is suitable for mountain bikes, racing bikes or children's bikes. With a maximum weight of 15kg per bike, it is not suitable for electric bikes or transport/family bikes.
Of course, the bus camper is also ideal to go on the road with as a couple or with 2 people. If you keep the pop-up roof closed, it is in fact a 'normal' 2-person bus camper. If you only use the pop-up roof as a sleeping area, you have, with the folded-up rear bed, a very large luggage space at your disposal. In short, plenty of possibilities.
Rent?
We are very flexible regarding pick-up and drop-off times and can coordinate this. Fijnja can be picked up in Groningen-Stad (ideally accessible by public transport and/or free public parking for your own car during the rental period) or Siddeburen (rural location, free first overnight stay on own premises and parking for your own car during the rental period).
