DIY Mercedes Viano automatic

A canopy is a separate awning with a rail in the gutter that allows it to be extended. Side awnings provide a comfortable shelter when it rains.

Mechanically, it's a fantastic car. The Mercedes Viano has a new MOT, new tires, and a major service, and everything that wasn't right is now tip-top.

First, I had the seats reupholstered and both seats made swivel. Now I only need the passenger seat because the power outlet is behind the driver's seat. They now have a real Mercedes leather look. A nice and good DIN2 multimedia system has also been installed. It includes a subwoofer and two speakers in the back, and a button that allows you to have the radio even when the engine is off. It's very easy to connect to your phone via USB. This way, you also have Maps, Spotify, or any other service you have. The radio also has DAB+.

A new 160ah battery that charges via the CEE connection and engine. Works perfectly. Good for at least four days off the grid.

- Kitchen unit, 180 cm long and 70 cm high. It includes an 85-liter Dometic refrigerator (gas, 12V, 220V), a two-burner gas stove, a sink with cabinets underneath, and a gas bottle/14-liter water tank.

The Viano drives wonderfully, with a nice, powerful engine and automatic transmission with cruise control. So you can relax while driving. It has a pop-up roof, allowing you to stand in the van. Good sound from the speakers and plenty of USB and mini USB-C outlets, and if you're connected via the CEE connection, there are also 220V outlets. Mood lighting consists of dimmer LEDs and 12V twilight LEDs. Two reading lights.
