We are Twan & Melissa, and this is Our Van!
Our 1972 Volkswagen T2 has been lovingly converted into a camper van full of character, with a modern, warm, and chic twist. A true classic on the outside, and just that little bit extra on the inside to make your classic car experience unforgettable.
Driving a T2 is truly an experience: leisurely cruising, enjoying the scenery, and regularly receiving a smile or a curious glance from passersby along the way. It is not a modern car, but that is precisely why we find traveling with Ons Busje so enjoyable. You experience travel in a completely different way. Ons Busje runs on petrol, has a manual transmission, and is equipped with a reliable engine as well as power steering (which makes it considerably more comfortable than many other T2s). And although you drive in a relaxed manner, you can easily reach around 100 km/h when necessary.
The van is fully equipped: complete furnishings, a made-up bed, everything you need to hit the road immediately! At the rear, you will find a pop-up roof for extra headroom. The camper is equipped with a kitchen featuring a 2-burner gas stove, a cold water tap, and a 60L water tank. Additionally, the van has a spacious, modern fridge with freezer (65L), ideal for keeping your food and drinks cool during your trip. The stove slides out, allowing you to cook both inside and outside – perfect for nice days! There is also a toilet in the van, ensuring extra comfort on the road. Furthermore, power outlets and USB ports are available. Going off-grid is no problem: the van can power your vehicle independently for about a weekend while stationary. It recharges while driving. There is also a portable electric outdoor shower available for a quick rinse.
You can travel with 2 to 4 people. There is a spacious rock & roll bed (approx. 120x185/190 cm) for 2 people. Seatbelts are present in the front; in the back, you may sit without a seatbelt due to the classic car status. Going away with four? Then a tent can be rented for extra sleeping space.
Practical: you can park your car with us, and check-in/out is flexible by arrangement. We take our time to explain everything so you can set off worry-free. We are also happy to help suggest routes and beautiful spots. We are also available to answer questions during your trip.
