VW T3 with high roof - automatic transmission from 1981

This is our VW T3 - air-cooled CU 2.0 automatic (petrol) from 1981! We are the proud owners since 2019, and are happy to rent this almost old-timer to an enthusiast! The camper is suitable for 2 people, but also for a family with small children. This VW T3 has a high roof so you can easily stand in it and there is extra storage space above and an extra bed can be created. In the back are 3 seats with lap belts. We have had many trips with our 8 year old daughter and 4 year old son. We have been renting out our camper van for a number of years, with lots of love and fun! The camper is fully equipped and has a complete inventory! The camper is well insulated, so sleeping is very comfortable (not too cold on cold nights and not too hot on hot days). There is a good refrigerator (works on electricity, gas and battery when driving), 4-burner gas stove and gas heating. All kitchen utensils are present, such as wok pan, pan set, blender, Italian coffee pot (perculator) etc. BBQ (party grill on gas cartridge) is also included. In the camper you will also find all kinds of stuff to make camping fun and easy, games, lamps, nice running mat, picnic blanket, etc. We invest in durable, lightweight, and easy to handle stuff. There is a lot of closet and storage space available, and you can take 2 bicycles on the bicycle carrier. You can also use the camping set: including 2 chairs, 2 highchairs, and a large folding table or smaller camping table. The camper has an awning, and possibly a bus tent for rainy days.

Downstairs you can make a bed of 125-190cm, and upstairs you can use a shelf system to make a bed of the same dimensions, so that 1 or 2 (smaller) children can sleep. We have created a portcullis so that the smallest cannot fall/come out. We put our youngest in a hammock system above the front seats, including a net so that he cannot fall out.
If you are traveling without children, you can use the portcullis to store items in the upper section.

For children we can supply the following:
- hammock system incl. net so that the smallest cannot fall out
- children's camping chair incl. belt
- car seat, certified for 2-point belts, for rent for 30 euros
- portapotti, for rent for 30 euros (hand in clean)
- small tent for 2 or 3 people

This almost classic VW T3 is +40 years old, and therefore important to know the following:

- The engine and automatic transmission were completely overhauled in 2022.
- Speed is max 100km, but 80-90km is finer!
- Long distances are not recommended
- Check the oil level occasionally
- We are happy to explain how to start with the user manual! The bus doesn't always start in 1 go, but has never let us down, you just have to give it some patience and love :-)
- There is no power steering, but driving with an automatic transmission is ideal, you don't have to think about shifting gears
- No air conditioning, the blowers in the front do work
- When stationary, the refrigerator cannot run on the battery for too long
- Everything is not new, but fully equipped
- The camper gets a major service every year
- Treat the camper with care and love, as we do, then we hope that it can last for years and years to come!

The camper must be returned clean and tidy. We do the big things ourselves, vacuuming, cleaning the mat, cleaning the awning, exterior, etc. That is why we charge cleaning costs. Gas use for stove is included. If you use the refrigerator continuously on gas, we ask for a contribution of 5 euros per day. Or you can bring your own gas bottle.
