Ollie – On an adventure with a cool oldtimer '76

Because we want to share all the love this friendly camper evokes (and honestly, to finance this hobby), we offer our incredibly fun vintage camper, which we have named Ollie, for rent.
We have been out and about with Ollie a few times and have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and dreamed wonderfully in the top bunk, and we want others to experience this enjoyment too.

You're literally transported back to the glorious 1976 from the moment you turn the key. The once-famed gasoline V-4 engine starts almost immediately, and the advantages of the large steering wheel become apparent during the first corners. You quickly surrender to the unhurried character of the seventies. A young man takes the trash out and stops short when he sees Ollie. With a jealous ear-to-ear smile and both hands in the air, he forms a heart shape with his fingers. He's certainly from a different year than Ollie, yet he seems to long for the carefree days of 50 years ago. This is the first one for today, but you know there will be more to come—so much fun!

In the morning, waiting for the gas oven to heat up, you pour your filter coffee, a fresh glass of mint tea for your sweetheart, and the sun shines brightly through the crack in the curtain. Hey, but didn't we see the sunset here last night too...? You grab the fresh juice and eggs from the fridge. Then you think: "I think the rolls are ready now." Bring on the day!

What will be today's destination?
Along the tulip fields to the Gouwe Stek in Bovenkarspel, and a visit to the Zuiderzee Museum or Sprookjeswonderland in neighboring Enkhuizen? Or would you prefer the Minicampsite in Twisk, to spend the next few days exploring the area, including a tour of Radbout Castle and a ride on the Hoorn-Medemblik Steam Tram? And perhaps Camperplaats de Pekelharinghaven is just what you're looking for, a short walk to Medemblik town center, with its endless terraces, live music, and charming pubs.
But wait... I actually don't want to do anything at all... Lose yourself in a good book at Camping Arienstocht in Onderdijk, watch the sunrise on the adjacent rippling lake 'De Grote Vliet' while paddleboarding, or simply chill out at one of the charming campsites.

We can arrange a bike rack for you, so you can explore the cobbled streets of Opperdoes and discover places you'd miss in a campervan, where you can buy a bag of Opperdoezer Ronde along the way. Or you can take a leisurely trip to the Cheese Market in Alkmaar.
In any case: The vast expanse of West Friesland lies at your feet.

Ollie provides for the most important basic needs. Here are a few: Attractive furnishings, running water, a refrigerator with freezer (230V), a 3-burner stove with a gas oven, 2.5 beds (2 adults + 1 child), linens/towels available upon request, a porta-potty, ample closet space, games, plenty of kitchen utensils and some basic spices, folding chairs and a table for outside under the tarp or awning, 12V lighting, and for those in need: a double USB port ;-)
