Dear readers,
We are Rob & Irma, and we are the proud owners of a spacious and luxuriously equipped camper. Since we can't have a holiday all year round :), we decided to rent out our camper so that others can enjoy the wonderful facilities that our camper has to offer.
Our priority is that you can get in and start your holiday right away. We make sure that some important things are arranged in advance, such as the first coffee and tea cups, pepper & salt, toilet paper, a dish cloth, washing-up liquid with a washing-up brush, hand soap and some hand and tea towels. These are the small things that can easily be forgotten, but are still useful to have at hand.
In our camper you will find extensive equipment, including dishes, pans, cutlery, airfryer, kettle and a coffee machine (Dolce Gusto). The camper has a spacious fridge/freezer combination, of which the large freezer compartment is particularly practical.
The camper is equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox and has 133 hp. At a speed of 90-100 km/h, the camper drives approximately 1 in 14.5 (fuel consumption). The camper runs on diesel. The engine is marked with "euro 5" (so you can drive into all major cities without having to apply for a permit/declaration). It is advisable to always check in advance (the rules are changed quickly :). )
At the front of the camper, the dashboard has extensive yet simple controls.
The car section is equipped with a radio, air conditioning, cruise control and a reversing camera. In addition, there are two 12-volt sockets in the dashboard, where you can charge your phone. We also have a special Garmin navigation system that is specially designed for campers. This system includes camper places and campsites throughout Europe, together with various useful apps. Navigating with this system is very simple.
The car seats can be rotated and are adjustable in height and length.
The spacious dinette offers enough space without getting in each other's way. For warm days, roof hatches and windows can be opened, each equipped with a fly screen and blackout curtain. The windscreen and front side windows can also be shielded with sliding curtains, which preserves privacy and also keeps out the heat.
In the back of the camper is a spacious freestanding queen bed. Through the sides you have easy access to closets with enough space to hang and lay clothes. The bedroom can be closed off with a door, making the living area and the bedroom separate.
In addition, there is a Maxfan in the sleeping area. This Maxfan can be compared to an air conditioner, but produces hardly any noise, both inside and outside, and is energy efficient. The big advantage of this Maxfan is that it can bring in cool air, but can also be set to remove warm and stuffy air. This ensures a relaxed sleeping environment, always. In addition, this Maxfan can be used on 12 volts, so even if you do not have a 220 connection, you can use it.
The lifting bed in the middle of the camper is easy to operate and quickly ready for use. This bed offers space for 1 (max 95 kg total) and is accessible via a step.
The camper is equipped with a solar panel that charges the batteries, which can keep you going for 1-2 days without external power, depending on usage. The batteries are also recharged while driving.
The fridge-freezer combination automatically switches to gas when the camper is stationary (then first open the gas tap) but switches to power via the battery while driving. When you connect the camper to power (via the supplied cable), everything works on the power of the location (220 volts).
With the built-in fresh and dirty water tanks you can use water on the road and on location. The toilet has its own collection tank that you must empty in between and return empty and clean at the end of the rental period.
For your convenience, we provide two filled gas bottles. The contents of one gas bottle will be provided by us at no extra cost. You can use the second gas bottle, but it must be returned full. If you are unable to exchange it and return it full, we charge €60.00 for this, which must be paid in cash when returning the camper.
The gas is used for cooking, using the fridge-freezer (if you do not use 220 volts) and for a gas BBQ or you can use our supplied Cadac/BBQ, and of course you need gas for the central heating during cold days. Our camper is fully insulated, so even in the colder months you can enjoy yourself comfortably. With a full gas bottle you can normally easily go 2 to even 3 weeks, depending on the use and the situation you are in.
On the outside, the camper has a spacious garage for your own belongings. A bicycle carrier on the back offers space for 2 electric bicycles. The garage also houses an (outdoor) table, 2-3 (reclining) chairs and the power cable for camping. A handy quick-coupling of the gas connection makes it possible to use your own gas BBQ or our Kadac, without having to drag an extra gas bottle. This way you can cook outside on the gas of the camper.
There is also an outdoor shower on the outside, which is very easy to use.
The sunshade on the side of the camper is easy to roll out and adjust with fixed height-adjustable legs and the accompanying guy lines provide extra stability.
In the garage we have a variety of items ready for outdoor activities, such as badminton rackets, jeu de boules, tennis boards and an electric pump for an air mattress etc. Incl an extension cord. We also have a drying rack available for hanging out your clothes and/or towels.
Inside the camper you will also find various games, such as a card game and Yahtzee, for some fun moments.
In short, everything is there for a fantastic trip.
The camper also has a CO2 detector and a special panic alarm (so that when you are sleeping and an intoxicating gas is possibly injected inside, you wake up immediately).
Some key points to remember:
When picking up the camper we will give you an extensive explanation. Please note that this will easily take an hour and a half. In addition to the existing Goboony papers, we have made a more extensive checklist ourselves, more in detail, to avoid discussions afterwards in case of possible damage. As a tenant you will also receive a copy of this, upon return we will go through the checklist together and this will be uploaded via Goboony.
You can always reach us by phone and via whatsapp for help. We are additionally insured via Goboony day insurance. So if you have an accident or problems with the camper, you can immediately call the Goboony emergency number for this so that you will be helped immediately. All data for this is present in the camper.
When leaving the camper, always make sure that the Bearlock (anti-burglary) is activated by simply turning it to the locked position.
We look forward to meeting you prior to the rental, so that we can get to know each other and we can also give you the opportunity to view the camper extensively. This is useful at the beginning of April when the camper comes out of storage. After that, viewing becomes more difficult due to the rental periods.
If anything happens during your rental period, please let us know. Our camper is from 2013, has driven few kilometers (approximately 63,000 km) and is well maintained, so you will be safe on the road.
NB:
Finally, we use the CAREFREE TRAVEL INSURANCE, do you too?
Accidents can happen in a small corner. We are very careful with our camper and therefore have any damage repaired.
Couple;
On the first day of your trip you accidentally hit a pole, resulting in a dent in the rear bumper. Repairing the damage costs €900.
On the third day, a small stone hit the window, resulting in a large crack in the windshield. Unfortunately, repair is no longer possible, so a new windshield has to be installed. Repairing the damage costs €800.
Someone tried to break into the camper during your day out. As a result, the lock was forced and there are scratches on the side of the camper. Repairing the damage costs €1,000.
Goboony's deductible is set at €1250.
If you cause damage (even if it is not your fault), the damage costs will still be deducted from your deductible (€1250) and the additional costs will then be at your expense.
This is of course very annoying, since only the first incident was your fault. But as a renter you are responsible for the camper during the travel period, including the other two incidents. (See the rental agreement).
With the Carefree Travel insurance:
If you have chosen to buy out the deductible through the Zorgeloos Reizen insurance, you do not have to pay any additional costs in addition to the €150 deposit, these costs will then again arise from our insurance. You are therefore fully insured. You are then insured against damage that you have caused yourself. If you choose not to take out this insurance and therefore not to buy out the deductible of €1250, you will pay an additional €1450 for the total damage in addition to your deductible of €1250. (Total €2550), our insurance will then not cover these costs (above your deductible).
The choice is of course yours……
From experience we can tell you that damage almost always occurred during the rental period and the costs quickly increased. However, it was always resolved perfectly.
Because we are well insured and actually all costs regarding breakdowns, damage, (if necessary) another camper, overnight costs, etc. etc. are covered, our daily price may be slightly higher, but that means you can go on holiday without any worries.
We hope you enjoy our camper as much as we do.
For now, we wish you lots of fun preparing for your wonderful holiday and hope to meet you soon.
Greetings Rob and Irma
