Experience your dream holiday in this small bus!
We bought Bolt four years ago and completely unbuilt it so we could live in it. We did that for six months, with great pleasure. Rent our bus and experience your own adventure.
What sets our bus apart?
* It is suitable for tall people. The interior height is 1m90 + skylight, and the bed is 2 meters long, plus foot space. So you can stand up straight and lie down.
* It was built for living. Lots of storage, a "real" mattress, and a kitchen that is very practical for daily use (with two burners, a spacious sink, plenty of counter space, full equipment including spices, coffee and tea).
* It is small and agile. The bus is not much bigger than a normal car, and has a very small turning circle. Perfect for driving on narrow roads, or for subtle parking in the city.
* It is possible to bring a third person. There are three seats front and rear. The third person must sleep on a mat on the floor, under the double bed. But, in our experience, this is really possible!
More information:
* The bus is equipped with a house battery and solar panels, so your mobile phone is charged in no time and the refrigerator stays cold. It is also possible to connect the refrigerator to 230 volts, for example if you are at a campsite.
* If you want to be self-sufficient for a few days: there is a small chemical toilet and a (cold) shower bag. The water tank is 20 L.
* The bus is well insulated, and remains comfortable to sleep in until around freezing. But, it may not be suitable for winter sports.
* This was our first self-built bus... Folding and unfolding the bed is a bit difficult (a child cannot do it alone), and the cupboards and doors do not slide very well.
* There are many games, (puzzle) books, and cute lights on board.
* Outside there is a garden set, hammock, badminton rackets and birdies and table tennis bats and balls.
* It is possible to set up a tarp as an awning if you stand still for longer. All supplies are on board, but it is a bit of effort.
* Two bicycles or a number of surfboards fit in the walkway of the bus when the bed is folded. When the bed is unfolded, the bicycles must go outside. You can then attach this to the grill of the bus. Three bicycles will not be enough, but a children's bicycle will probably work. Or the third bicycle must be placed on the bed.
* Gas for cooking on the bus is not yet included in the price. We can discuss the costs for gas, the guideline is 1.50 euros per day.
That is it. Please call or send a message with questions.
