Want to camp in luxury and comfort? Then go out with our unique camper van!
The bus has served as a work bus, and has always been perfectly maintained. We completely converted the bus into a camper in 2024, during which the cabin was also given a makeover. It is a silver copy with black alloy rims and tinted windows, which gives it a 'tough' appearance for a bus.
Because it is a shorter bus than most campers (L2H2) and has a reversing camera, it fits in all normal parking spaces and you can even squeeze it into any free space when parallel parking.
We chose a lot of wood for the installation, but because we chose light wood types, the camper has remained light at around 2667kg. Furthermore, it is equipped with everything we consider important: a good wine opener, a nice coffee maker, underfloor heating, parking heater, etc. The bus is luxuriously finished with calm and neutral colours and has a natural look due to the extensive use of wood. There is also a lot of use of rattan, which gives the bus a unique look.
In addition, there is a fixed projector available so you can have romantic movie nights in the bus! USB stick with about 20 films and series is also available, so you always have something to watch off-grid! The screen and projector can also be placed outside, so an outdoor cinema at the campsite is no problem!
The electronics are also generously equipped: The kitchen drawers close automatically when the car is started, and reading lights, USB ports and power strips are present in abundance. The cabin temperature and humidity can also be quickly viewed at all times. The bus has a 280Ah AGM battery that will last for at least 5 days. The bus is also charged while driving and has 200Wp solar panels on the roof. In this way, it is actually hardly necessary to go to the power supply and you can travel carefree.
Because one of us can get cold quite quickly, the bus is also equipped with all kinds of heating systems:
- Underfloor heating warms the floor up to 40°C. Easy to reach from bed so you have nice warm feet in the morning
- An electric blanket for cold nights keeps the bed nice and warm
- If all that isn't enough, there is a 2KW diesel heater to keep things nice and warm. This is connected directly to the diesel tank, so there is no hassle with diesel tanks that can run empty.
A full kitchen is present including crockery and cutlery, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment and a medicine cabinet for oils, wines and herbs. The sink is an elegant Moroccan model, a nice eye-catcher in the bus. The tap is luxurious and can be pulled out, which makes it easier to do the dishes or fill large bottles. There is a 100 liter water tank present which should last you a number of days. This is connected to an automatic water pump of 3 bar. Cooking is done on a 2-burner gas hob. There is also a camping table and a set of chairs to sit in front of the bus. In addition, there is also a small folding table at the entrance, which is ideal for cooking outside or for drinks.
The table can be quickly slid in and out and can be extended to about 160 centimetres; the table then almost fills the entire space, but this is ideal if you want to sit in the camper with several people or want to play an extensive board game.
We did not build a separate bathroom in the bus, because this takes up a relatively large amount of space that is rarely used in practice. Of course, we do have a Porta Potti on board, which is easy to reach by removing the panels of one of the seats (which are magnetically attached). There is also a separate outdoor shower that can easily be placed in the sink; this way you can also take a hot shower when the sink is filled with hot water. I was even able to take a shower at -1°C.
For ventilation, the bus has a roof window and a side window that can be opened, so that the bus can be nicely aired. Even in Greece in the summer, it was pleasant in the bus. There is a fly screen for the side door so that the door can remain open while camping.
In the cabin we have installed Remisfront, which makes it very easy to hide the window from view. The passenger seat is also rotatable, which makes optimum use of the space in the bus. A reading light at this 'luxury seat' is of course present.
Furthermore, the dashboard is equipped with a new on-board computer that runs Android Auto or Apple Carplay, so you can easily connect your phone.
Because there is a roof rack, you can also drag larger objects. Do you want to go canoeing? Got your back. Surfboards? No problem. Kite gear? Welcome! If necessary, a bicycle carrier can also be placed on the supplied tow bar. The step board on the back makes it comfortable to use the large garage.
The bus is on Continental 'VancoCamper' tires; summer tires, which unfortunately makes the bus unsuitable for the real diehard winter sports enthusiast. Because there are snow chains on board, the bus is legal to drive in most mountain areas, even in winter and in snow conditions.
There is also a special 'stealth mode': By hanging black curtains, the camping space is hidden from view and the bus looks completely like a 'normal' work bus from the outside. The only thing that is noticeable is the entrance for the camping plug, and perhaps the bright yellow Dutch license plate. This ensures that the bus does not attract attention when it is parked in the city, for example. If you take a bicycle carrier with you or attach something to the roof rack, this will of course detract somewhat from the 'stealthyness' of the bus.
Actually, the bus turned out to be a lot more luxurious than we had imagined before building it! So take your chance and enjoy comfort in every place!
