Our Deukie; a pimped Ford Transit 6-seater with plenty of space and, not unimportantly, a well-maintained engine 🙂.
The “cockpit” is equipped with Apple CarPlay/Android and a separate screen for the rear-side camera!
And not unimportant: power steering 💪
Hear you think, where does the name Deukie come from, well.. pictures say enough😅, the well-known hailstorm at Lake Garda was not good for his appearance😬
Deukie is equipped with a 2.5L Turbo Diesel and was born in 2007 with and around 100 HP💪 He pulls a tough mountain with ease! 😎
When you enter we have mounted a "handle" for the little men and then you look straight at the bunk bed. The upper bunk bed has dimensions of 200x70cm and is equipped with fall protection (can also be removed), the lower bed has dimensions of 90x70cm also equipped with fall protection. (Unfortunately this cannot be removed)
Behind this smaller bed is a storage compartment, which you can reach from the back of the camper. (Always handy storage space when traveling with children😅)
Once inside and the first door on the left you will enter the spacious bathroom with a toilet (comes out from under the camper in a waste water tank, so no lugging around a cassette toilet😉), bathroom furniture and shower. (We use the shower more out of necessity for our little men).
When you exit the bathroom you look at the kitchenette, equipped with a 15L hot water boiler, 3-burner gas stove and coffee machine (from which you can also make tea 😉).
To the left of the kitchen unit you will find the refrigerator and above it an extra “storage compartment”.
Once you pass the kitchen, on the left you will find a table where you can sit with 2 people and which can be adjusted into a bed of 200x70cm.
On the other side you have a 4-seater dining area that can be converted into a 200x120 cm bed.
Above the “cockpit” you will find another sleeping area of 200x140cm, equipped with a hinged window with mosquito net.
On the outside there is a large/new awning.
At the rear there is a bicycle carrier for 2 bicycles as well as a tow bar where you can attach a trailer or bicycle carrier!
The camper is equipped with 2 solar panels which are connected to the
Household batteries (2 pieces) and starter battery.
During the ride, "light" power consumers can be used by switching on the inverter, such as charging your phone, iPads or making a nice cup of coffee ☕️
Once connected to the 220 plug, all batteries are charged using the built-in battery charger.
