Our professionally converted T5.1 2013 VW Camper was carried out by Hillside Convertors and comes loaded with everything you need to seek out your own adventure.
The van has front and rear speakers hooked up to a Sony touch screen display, compatible with wired Apple CarPlay and bluetooth devices, along with both driver and passenger arm rests that make for easy miles. The is amply storage throughout the van, with a large space under the rear seats, in the kitchen cupboards and spacious boot.
Sleeping up to 4 adults, 2 downstairs on the Rib bed and 2 upstairs in pop top, it comes complete with a full equipped camper kitchen:
- Waeco fridge/freezer
- Gas grill oven and 2 gas hobs
- Sink, with hot water feed (on hook up or after a 2 hours of driving using the immersion heater off the alternator)
- Pots/pans/kettle/chopping board/kitchen utensils/cutlery/plates/cups for 4
To make the most out of the inside layout, the passenger seat swivels 180 degrees (captains seat) to face the collapsable table. The pop top bed can be raised to allow you to easily stand whilst cooking or just improve the airflow on those hot days.
When you need that daytime nap or want to avoid an early sunrise the van is equipped with blackout blinds throughout. There are multiple lighting options, including LED spotlights, reading light and a LED strip.
The van is comfy even on cold nights, being equipped with a webasto heater, which runs off the diesel and leisure battery (don't worry it doesn't drain either, keeping you toasty). Even better, it works off a thermostat so you can get the temperature just right. At the other end, the van comes equipped with AC for those hot summer drives.
From safety point of view, the van includes a fire blanket, first aid kit and has upgraded LED front, side and rear lights to ensure you can be seen with ease. In addition a side mounted awning keeps the sun off those that need it. The front passenger air bag can easily be disabled if you need to put a baby up front.
The camper is equipped with 13amp mains hook up and a large water tank.
For your adventures, the van has a rear mounted bike rack for 2 bikes and a roof rack; ready to load up to 4 surfboards on. A large solar battery combined with the leisure battery keeps the fridge running 24/7 and keeps your gadgets charged via multiple USB ports throughout the van. If the mood takes you, there is a rear shower connector where you can have a warm outside shower* or simply wash the bike/boards.
The van will be supplied with a full set of bedding for the downstairs bed, and a mattress sheet for the upstairs bed. If planning a trip for 4 people, please bring your own bedding/sleeping bags. If this is not possible, please contact us and we can source further bedding.
* Hot water or shower needs either a 13amp hook up at a camp site or approx 2hrs driving with the immersion heater on to warm the water
