I would not recommend hiring this motorhome, or hiring from this owner. Our trip was mired in problems. Firstly, on the departure day of our trip we were informed whilst on our way to collect the motorhome, that the collection would have to be delayed, as the owner was not there as per our agreed collection time. Upon collection, we began the handover process. This included a check that we knew how to bring out the awning and safely put it away. As part of this, we found that the awning was damaged on a previous trip, meaning that we could not put the awning away effectively, we assisted the owner in trying to fix this broken part which cost us further time. At this stage of the day we were 2-3 hours behind our original schedule, which now meant we had very limited time to reach our destination in time. Therefore, the remainder of the handover process was very rushed and we had to skip the collection of an item that we had agreed to rent from the owner on our trip (more on this later). On our journey we had many issues with the comfort and drivability of the motorhome itself. The handling was very bad and did not feel safe at times, the air conditioning was very poor and the rear viewing camera was almost useless, giving us very limited visibility. Upon reaching our campsite and getting setup, we discovered that the 'off-grid' capability of the motorhome was incredibly limited, as there was only 1 USB port that functioned without mains hookup, despite this motorhome being advertised and described to us as having off grid capability. Another thing we discovered upon reaching our campsite, was that the cleanliness of the motorhome was very poor. The fridge and tops of all the surfaces were dirty and needed thorough washing, before we could safely store or put food on them. The part of the motorhome that we did find pleasant and worth our while, was the sleeping arrangements and livability of the motorhome. The sleeping arrangements were comfortable and spacious, the storage spaces we ample, there were chairs and a table provided in the storage compartment of the motorhome which were welcome. It should be noted that we did not use the cooker or hob during the week as we had our own BBQ, so cannot comment on if those appliances were good or not. For the 3 people we had, the motorhome was fine, but I would say the most that it could comfortably sleep would be 4. Unfortunately, the return and remainder of the process was only filled with further issues and complaints from our side. We returned the motorhome before the agreed time in a very clean state, after spending 1-2 hours cleaning it on the day of our return. We handed it back and as part of this there was a standard check for any damages that may have happened during our trip, none were found and we swiftly were on our way, after agreeing with the owners that if nothing else were found within 72 hours, that our deposit would be returned. They contacted us 1 week after this, to accuse us of stealing/losing an item contained within the motorhome. They approached us privately via WhatsApp with this and stated that they could "unequivocally guarantee" that we had lost the handle for the water carrier(aquaroll), that we had paid £20 extra for during our trip. We had, in-fact, never received the handle for the water carrier due to the delays on our departure day as previously mentioned. As the total cost of our trip far exceeded the £20 we paid to have the aquaroll handle, we were not concerned about contacting them during our trip to resolve this. They stated to us, on WhatsApp, that unless we paid for a new Water Carrier + Handle (£60), they would have no choice but to forcibly charge our card for this item. We then stated that we had never received this item and would prefer to resolve this officially, via GoBoony, at which point they then responded 2 further days later to apologise and confess that they were wrong and that the handle was missing on another one of their motorhomes, not ours. We received no compensation or further apology, for this accusation, or the fact that we never received this item that we paid them for. Overall, as you can from this lengthy review, our experience with this motorhome (Charlie) was negative and this mainly derived from the owners being dis-organised, unpleasant to communicate with and misleading.
