Meet Ethel.
After a year of love and hard work, I'm excited to offer my self-converted campervan, Ethel, for your next adventure. She's been my trusty companion on incredible trips across Wales, Cornwall, and France, and I really hope she brings you as much joy as she has with me!
Ethel has plenty of space for two people, designed to feel both spacious and cozy, so you can really enjoy all the time you spend with her, even if the weather keeps you indoors. The short double bed (135cm x 170cm) is super comfy, though something to keep in mind for my taller friends!
Inside, you'll find:
- A large garage space under the bed for any luggage, gear, outdoor equipment or pretty much anything else, Ethel was really built to be adaptable for any use! You can remove part of the garage ceiling as well if you need to fit larger equipment.
- Loads of storage space, including a full-sized closet with a full length mirror. It's a small thing, but being able to see all your clothes without having to rummage through drawers is definitely one of my favorite bits about her.
- A removable swivel table setup perfect for working remotely or having a cozy dinner inside. Ethel also includes a TV that doubles as a second monitor! I’ll leave my keyboard, mouse, and HDMI cable to make working on the road a breeze (hopefully you won't need to!).
- A 2000W inverter allows you to use and charge any of your normal household devices in the van.
- A fully equipped kitchen with a gas hob, running water, fridge, pots, pans, kettle, cafetière, and all the essentials so you can really enjoy your adventures.
- A diesel heater to keep the van warm and toasty.
- A range of other items which have brought me joy when using her, and will hopefully bring you joy as well. This list is likely incomplete and ever changing but includes a chess board, a large hot water bottle, a handheld expresso maker, some art supplies, couple random books, a collapsable firepit, some snacks etc.
Ethel was designed for off-grid adventures, with:
- 300W of solar panels
- 400Ah battery bank (massive!!)
- Split relay charger that tops up the battery while you drive
- Shore power with a long extension lead if you're camping somewhere with access to electricity
You'll have everything you need to be self-sufficient, whether you're parking up in the wilds or staying at a campsite.
Some personal touches make Ethel extra special — including whimsical artwork created by my friends and family during the conversion. She's got a lot of heart and character, and I hope you’ll feel this if you get to spend some time with her.
Furry friends are very welcome! Both my cat and dog have loved their adventures in Ethel, so feel free to bring yours along too.
If you have any questions or want to know more about Ethel and what she comes with, please feel free to get in touch!
