Meet Carol, our 2019 Volkswagen Caravelle!

Carol is a 150BHP 2.0 TDI executive short wheel-base Caravelle with the new Euro 6 engine unit, she boasts a smooth 7-speed DSG automatic transmission for effortless driving. Carol is in pristine factory condition, featuring twin auto sliding doors with separate awnings and a slide-out rear kitchen for convenient outdoor cooking and dining.

Inside, four captain's chairs offer ample space when travelling, the 2 front seats swivel and the 2 rear seats fold down to create the platform for a full-size double bed. We've included a comfortable folding double mattress to maximize your sleeping quality!

To extend your living space, we've added an amazing 'Glawning' Bell-tent. This connect's via a drive away awning and provides a cozy additional living area & bedroom directly attached to the campervan, this comes compete with floor mats and the option of 2 x single or 1 x double folding mattress, LED lights & and a cozy wood-burning stove!

Also included in the rental price is a 2kw Anker 'power station' which allows 3 pin plug appliances and USB sockets - providing 240v power connected to Carols 400w 'roof-mount' solar panel providing solar charging into the unit for true 'off-grid' adventures (also works on mains hookup!).

How long does the glawning take to put up?
It takes one person about 20 minutes and we include a video in the welcome pack!

Have you ever struggled to fit on a pitch?
No! its the same footprint as a regular awning but please check space limitations with the campsite.

Can you use the stove on most campsites?
Yes! we always check when we book, we've stayed on campsites that don't allow campfires, but they were happy with the stove as it was a contained fire.

What's it like in wind/storms?
We've been the last tent standing a few times! its incredibly robust and waterproof.

What makes it better than any other drive away awning?

The stove, it's the biggest game changer when it comes to camping. Our favourite places to visit are Wales and the Lakes, you know what they get a lot of...? Rain! Whenever we're back at camp the stove is lit and everything is lined up to dry. Not to mention we are super cosy in the evenings, much to the envy of all the other campers!
