Gus – Start your adventure with Gus

Gus is a professionally converted VW T6 camper which will be part of many past and future memories for our family. He is a long wheel base version which allows for 2 children to comfortably sleep in the pop top.

Driving Gus is not too dissimilar from driving any large SUV or MPV and is aided by reversing camera and parking sensors. He was built on a T6 Highline model and has a 6 speed manual gear box with a 2ltr TDI/140bhp Euro 5 engine (comfortable on mountainous road), cruise control, air conditioned cab and satnav. Gus has 6 belted seats with 3 in the front and 3 in the back.

Inside, Gus has everything you need to feel at home. There is a fridge with a small freezer compartment, a two burner gas hob and a sink (but from our experience it tends to be more convenient using onsite facilities). Plus for those nights you are hooked up we can provide a toaster, kettle and hairdryer also. When the weather gets cool, there is also a diesel heater which will keep you toastie. Finally, Gus also has a large Fiamma wind out awning to provide shade and protection from showers.

Sleeping arrangements - The RIB bed folds out to a comfortable (120cm) wide double bed, with a 3" memory foam mattress topper for extra comfort if required. Upstairs, in the pop top there is enough room for two people, with a max weight limit of up to 150kg.

In addition, Gus has a leisure battery and solar panel which will last for a couple of days, off-grid, camping (dependant on use).
