Our VW Crafter is a passion project that started during covid, and after over a year of hard work from the local professional conversion expert we have our dream vehicle... we call him The Big Easy.
The van itself is very new (only done 24k miles) and drives really well, and for an XL van it really is easy to drive.
Inside the van we've kitted it out with front captain seats (swivel seats) which makes up the dining area at the front, small kitchen with gas stove and a sink with running water, (there's also a diesel heater for winter months) with a removable dining table in the front. Fridge with freezer and tap lights which can be made brighter/darker by touch.
At the back there's a double bed (good for most folk under 6ft 1") and two kids bunk beds (for children up to 12yrs). Great for a family of four or 2 people sharing the same bed.
At the back of the van there's lots of storage under the double bed, double doors and 2 vertical bike racks at the rear of the vehicle. We usually place the kids bike on the back and adult bikes on the roof itself with the rear ladder. Plenty of overhead storage and cupboards.
The side awning is also quite large, and makes for a lovely area once you park up and put up the windbreak which also comes with the van. It will also come with the tables and 4 chairs for dining outside.
The van runs off a solar powered battery (off grid setup) so doesn't need to be hooked up, but it is recommended that you park at camp sites as the van doesn't have a shower and toilet compartment (just an emergency potty).
Kitchen is equipped with; pots, pans, 4 plates, 4 bowls, knives, forks, spoons, cups, sharp knife, bottle opener, teas/coffee, and salt pepper etc.
We can provide duvet & pillows etc on request. If there's anything else you need for your trip don't hesitate to ask as we'll likely have it.
Please note: That due to the camper van having swivel seats at the front it is required that you're over 5ft7" in order to reach the pedals comfortably to drive the van.
