Bob – 4 berth Swift Escape 664 - Dog Friendly

Our beautiful motorhome sleeps and travels 4 people. It's great for long-term rental, families or a group of friends wanting to travel and explore the UK, oh, and you can bring your dog too!

It can be driven on a UK C1 car license, just above 3500 kg; The Escape 664 model is 6.72 metres long, 2.31m wide and 2.88m high, pretty straightforward to drive and capable of normal motorway speed with ease.

The Motorhome has two LPG gas tanks; they use the Gaslow system, so very easy to refill at many petrol stations. We can help with that. Gas & electric hot air heating and hot water system. Rear view camera, satellite navigation, cab air conditioning, hands-free mobile phone connection, and radio system with Bluetooth connection for your phone. A rear cycle carrier for 2 bikes and a Roof fitted Solar panel to facilitate wild camping.

To the front, there is a spacious lounge/dinette area with a removable table that seats 5/6 people, including the 2 swivel chairs from the cab. This converts into a small, comfortable double bed at night if required.

To the middle, there is a modern kitchen with a 3-burner gas hob with glass cover, a kitchen sink, a microwave oven (requires EHU), storage compartments, and a 3-way-power fridge with freezer compartment. Kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery, glassware, 2 kettles, mugs, pots and pans, etc are included. Opposite the sink is a large cupboard with a hanging rail suitable for shirts/blouses and a smaller cupboard at floor level suitable for footwear.

To the rear, there is a permanent French bed (mattress thicker and better than our home mattress) on one side, with a window and reading/spotlights. There are 2 closed and one open locker above your head. On the other side is the bathroom featuring a toilet (with external cassette), vanity unit, storage locker, hand basin and shower area with screen.

Under the bed is a storage/garage area that can be accessed from an outside locker or by lifting the bed. This contains all sorts of essential items for having a fun motorhome experience. This includes 5 camping chairs, a large table and a small coffee table, a wind break, a camping rug, a fire pit with some wood, 2 clothes drying racks for hanging on windows for drying clothes, plus the less glamorous items you'll need for emptying and priming the toilet cassette and grey wastewater. There are 2 levelling blocks and anti-slip mats, and 2 x 240V EHU cables and connections for all sorts of sockets. It also has easy access to the combi boiler and water tank.

All habitation windows and roof lights have blinds and fly screens. Inside, you have a flat-screen TV /DVD player with Freeview, and a Fire TV Stick is supplied, which will work off the Motorhome's mobile wi-Fi router (optional). This will give you access to Amazon and Netflix (apps are installed, but you require your own account) and the ability to FaceTime friends and family while relaxing at the side of a beautiful Scottish loch (signal permitting).

We are dog-friendly and are happy for you to bring up to two small, well-behaved dogs on your adventure. We can provide a spill-free dog bowl and a spike for tethering dogs outside. Please let us know at the time of booking if you are bringing a pet.

Collection and drop off for the motorhome can be arranged at or near our home in Musselburgh, very handy for the A1 if heading East/South, the City of Edinburgh Bypass for heading West and/or North and is only 6 miles from Edinburgh city centre. Parking for your own vehicle would be on the street near our home at your own risk. Always happy to be flexible where possible for check-out/in, happy to collect and drop you off at Musselburgh train station. For a fee, we can (when possible) collect/drop off from Edinburgh Airport.

We have a Satellite Navigation system on board, and a cradle for your own phone if you prefer to use Google Maps (or another app) and are happy to suggest routes around Scotland.

All we ask is that you look after our motorhome as if it were your own and have an amazing time exploring the UK and making memories.
