ID Check: We’ll need a valid passport or ID card, your debit/credit card, and a signed waiver. This covers up to £1,000 for any third-party incidents.
Don’t Want to Leave a Security Bond? We’ve Got You Covered!
If you prefer not to leave a £1,000 caution bond, we offer flexible packages that give you peace of mind:
Silver Package: Pay £5/day and reduce your security deposit to £500.
Gold Package: Pay £10/day and leave no deposit. (Note: exclusions apply—cover does not include tyres, windscreen, reversing incidents, keys, and others.)
Diamond Package: Pay £20/day for maximum cover—no deposit required and protection for all incidents.
Important Information for Your Adventure
Here’s everything you need to know before you hit the road with confidence!
No Off-Road Driving: Driving on unsealed roads must be pre-approved.
No Smoking: Smoking inside the camper is not allowed.
Pets Welcome: Pets are welcome, but you must declare them. The cleaning fee does not cover pet-related messes, so please valet the vehicle before returning it.
Cleaning Fee: A standard cleaning fee is included, but does not include excessive cleaning, an additional charge of up to £50 may apply.
Appointment Only: Pick-up and drop-off are by appointment only—let us know your arrival time and inform us of any delays or changes.
Mileage Limit: Each rental includes 150miles per night. Additional miles are charged at £0.32/mile.
Fuel Policy: Return the van with the same fuel level as when you picked it up. Note: excess fuel cannot be refunded.
Age Restrictions & Insurance Criteria:
Ages 21-24:
Must have a full licence for at least 2 years.
Ages 21-22: No convictions allowed.
Ages 23-24: One minor conviction (3 points) in the last 3 years is allowed.
Ages 25 and Above:
Must have held a full licence for at least 12 months.
Standard cover does not apply to drivers over 75 years.

We had the BEST time in Gerty! It was a smooth and straightforward process from the minute we booked with Jo. Jo was extremely responsive with any questions we had before our trip, and when we arrived to pick up the van, the staff were very friendly and informative. I liked the simple touches in the van, such as the cables for the stereo to plug our phone in and the first aid kit and games! The van was clean, and drove like and absolute dream! We will definitely be hiring from these guys again! May 2024

Great experience! We hired 'Girty' which was easy to drive, comfortable to sleep in and had all the things you needed when on the beautiful campsites of Scotland. Communication was also really good from the owners and made it a quick/easy process to pick up the van, hand it back and returning the deposit. All in all a great and relaxing experience. Thank you - we have already recommended you to several other groups of people who plan to do the same trip as us! April 2024
