Magic is one of the first VW T5 vans, with a weight rating of T30. Professionally converted by Beckenham in 2006 as one of their Freeway models, she has been recently upgraded to have a 100AH Lithium leisure battery charged either from the engine whilst driving or from the solar panel on the roof. Fitted with a Reimo super-low pop-top she will fit into a standard 2m headroom car park! New roof canvas fitted for 2025. The bed is a Reimo Vario 2000, mounted on rails. For passenger use the bed slides to the front of the van as a 2-person seat. The engine is the 1.9tD, offering plenty of power. Expect to get around 35 mpg on the motorway. Thermal blinds are provided, and will keep the van warm in winter and cool in summer.
The cab has two single seats - both are Captains seats and swivel to face the cabin. As is common with VW campers, the drivers seat does not swivel all the way around. Electric windows, electric heated & folding door mirrors.
As a LWB van you gain an extra 0.5 metre of length, and that provides additional storage space. Standard side kitchen layout, LH sliding door, pressurised cold water to the sink from the onboard tank. Twin burner gas hob, grill, fridge. Gas blown-air heating. Gas supply is from a Camping Gaz 907 cylinder.
The Reimo vario bed provides a full length but narrow double bed. The pop-top bed is slightly wider.
Plenty of USB sockets.
The fridge is a 45l electric fridge with a removable freezer compartment. Please notify us in advance of you would like the fridge configured as a larder fridge without freezer compartment for your rental.
Mains hookup (10m lead included). Magic does not have an inverter, but there are 2 standard UK power sockets avilable when connected to shore power.
Tea towels are provided, and the kitchen is equipped with pots and pans, crockery and cutlery.
Thermal blinds (internal, stick on) included.
We do not usually do handovers on Tue/Wed/Thu but can make exceptions when our calendar allows. Please contact us with details of your planned schedule and we’ll try and accommodate you.
