Minimum 21 years old with 2 years driving experience and Maximum age is 75 years old.
If you don't hold a UK or EU licence, please let me know what licence you do have when making the booking request so that I can check it with my insurer in case they specify any special conditions.
All hirers must provide two proof of address documents on collection dated within 90 days of the hire as well as having your licence with you (council tax statements, telephone, gas, water bills and bank statements are all examples of acceptable proof of address documents).
Cleaning: The Campervan must be returned cleaned on the interior including all eating utensils plates, cups, pots and pans. If it is returned exceptionally dirty then a cleaning charge of £25 will be applied. The fuel gauge should also read the same on return as when the hire commenced (owner will endeavour to ensure that it is full on collection).

James and “Ollie” were great from start to finish! James picked us up and ripped us off at the station and was on hand throughout the week we hired Ollie. Ollie was in great condition and perfect for our wee exploring the NC500. Overall couldn’t recommend James and Ollie enough.

James communicated well with us ahead of our trip and even picked us up and dropped us off to the bus station! Not sure that’s normally included but we were very grateful! Van was clean and fully equipped for our 5 night trip. We just brought our usual holiday gear. Van drove well and was comfortable. We stayed around Inverness while I visited my godmother then drove up to Durness and down to Ullapool.
We will definitely use James again next time we visit.

James is fantastic, really helpful and a very honest all round guy. Olly was in great condition and fully explained to us before we left. Olly is obviously very well locked after and didn't miss a beat over the 600 or so miles we took him on. 100% would recommend.

What an amazing experience and adventure we had on our first time in a campervan, especially one named Ollie. The beautiful Isle of Skye, up to Ullapool and across to Fortrose; more miles will definitely follow.
The whole experience was made all the more easy with the kind, friendly and thorough advice provided by James, before, during and after the journey.
The beautiful weather also helped and I believe James had a hand organised this! All the boxes ticked then.
We would not hesitate to rent again from James and are already looking at later in the year.

As previously said, James is a smashing fella who gives a comprehensive hand over.
Ollie, was very easy to drive. He was well equipped but the toaster has to sit on the chopping board on the floor as it has a short lead.
Sometimes it seemed a bit cramped so try not to overpack (we did🤦🏼♀️) Using the table for extra worktop is ideal.
Ollie was great for parking and fitting into passing places on the NC500.
The night heater kept us warm and toasty.
A few times the leisure battery warning went off but it never let us down. - Maybe check with James why?
The bed was easy to set up and put away, the bedding was good quality.
Having the freedom to see a spot, stop and put the kettle on was fantastic.
Parking Ollie up at the end of 2 weeks was like leaving a family member behind 😀

Wow, what an incredible trip. We hired Ollie from James for our holiday to Scotland for the NC500. James was so accommodating from the moment we booked, to us handing Ollie back at the end of our trip (which we were very sad about!).
Ollie was perfect for us, being our first campervan holiday, he was not too big to drive the narrow roads of the NC500 but also spacious enough for the 2 of us with luggage for our 6 nights when pitching up at our campsites. Ollie was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The only thing that would have made campervan life a little easier would have been having a microwave. But appreciate space is limited and we made do with the toaster & hob!
James was so friendly and relaxed which made the whole experience stress free. If you’re debating to book with him, we could not recommend him enough. Thank you for everything!
