I'm Michael and I'm married to Julie. We bought our Motorhome 'Swifty' nine years ago and have enjoyed many weekends away in the nearby Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. In 2017 we gave up our printing and teaching jobs and took a 'gap year' travelling around Europe in Swifty. We drove as far as Poland and enjoyed visiting 9 countries along the way. We are not quite retiring age so we bought a small village hardware shop six months ago and are currently working hard to build this up into a successful business. This does mean that we don't have as much free time to travel in our beloved Motorhome and she is just sat there on our drive looking a bit forlorn! We have joined Goboony to make use of Swifty while we are working and also hope that fellow travellers enjoy holidaying in her as much as we do.

Michael is an excellent host, and was always available to answer any questions, as, even with a thorough handover, sometimes you forget stuff. Swifty is an older lady and a bit scuffed around the edges inside and out. However, she drives well, is comfortable and everything works. We didn't drive around, just to and from a horse trials where we set up, and Swifty was a great base. We'd hire her again. September 2025

We hired the swifty from Micheal for the weekend for us as a family amd the dog traveling down south. Swifty didn't miss a beat. Comfortable and clean and literally had everything you could possible need. Micheal was fab before during and after our trip. Already planning our next get away. Michael and Jenny were great - really good at staying in touch. We were motorhome virgins, so we were relieved that they explained everything so well and were on hand whenever we had a query. Motorhome is really comfortable, easily slept four adults, had all mod cons and was very well equipped with everything you might need: outside furniture and an umbrella to name but two. July 2024

I’m not the reviewing type .. but Michael and Julie deserve the best review ever written. I recently had the pleasure of hiring their Campervan and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I first spoke to Michael, his knowledge and desire to help was extraordinary. Michael and Julie went above and beyond to ensure my holiday went smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble and soon after I had the holiday of a lifetime. From beginning to end dealing with Michael and Julie was excellent. Michael and Julie were always readily available to talk to and always gave the best advise. Goboony is an excellent hire company and Michael and Julie are an excellent couple to hire from. Michael saved us from missing our planned holiday. He rented his van to us at the last minute. My wife and I both thought Michael was a most pleasant person, easy to deal with. He also had a great personality. The van itself was cosy and easy to cope with. August 2023

Well maintained 14 year old motorhome. Drove well and everything worked to spec, except the gas hot water which was a bit temperamental. This was not a problem for us as the site had free showers. We did not have a hook-up but the gas fridge and cooker were great, and the battery ran the lights etc. no problem. Michael the owner was great - always replied to messages and provided lots of info and help at handover. Would recommend this owner and van to all. August 2021

Both Michael and Swifty were great. The van had everything we needed for a fab trip. Once we'd packed everything away (we took a baby!) we were able to relax and just enjoy the scenery. Was easier to drive than I expected and Michael was always on hand for advice by phone. Will likely rent again. April 2021
