Hey, I'm Paul!

My name's Paul, a semi-retired (soon to be fully retired), property manager. I've been hiring the VW campervan out for 2 years and have taken bookings from the UK, France, Switzerland and even Canada in the past. Scotland is by far the most popular destination and I've taken it there a few times myself (West Of Scotland, Outer Hebrides, Aberdeenshire, Dumfries and Galloway as well as part of the NC500). Like to take the golf clubs in the van and have played some great courses in Scotland when away. Thinking about North Wales as my next trip.

Been very fortunate, as I've met some lovely people when hiring the van out and have enjoyed some good feedback and ratings from hirers.

Full retirement will see me spending more time on my other 'job' - running a local junior football club with around 550 children attached to it, whilst I intend to do a bit more walking in Northumberland and hopefully playing a few more rounds of golf - just a social golfer. I'm also promising to learn how to fly a drone I bought - need to improve my manual dexterity I think. Basically, I like getting outdoors!

We hired the van for 11 days (NC500/Isle of Skye). The van was clean, comfortable, and came fully equipped with everything we needed for the trip which made exploring stress-free and enjoyable. Booking and pickup were straightforward, Paul was friendly and helpful, answering our questions and providing a informative tour, beneficial with it being our first van trip. This was our first campervanning experience and it could not have been better. Handover was a breeze - Paul could not have been more thorough walking us through everything. The van was immaculate and had everything we needed for a comfortable and very happy few days making our way around Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. We had a great time in Paul’s campervan. Paul was very friendly and easy to deal with, handover either side of the rental was quick and smooth, with Paul fully prepared in terms of paperwork. Couldn’t have asked for more - the van was spotlessly clean, had ample storage, came with everything we could need and more (for example for us it was great the addition of a microwave).
