Katrina and Helen are lovely people but the van was not fit for purpose. The electrics did not work and although a mechanic was sent twice this could not be resolved. Goboony had also not put the right description up of the van claiming it had tv, air conditioning and rear computer monitored parking.. none of these things were included. When I raised a dispute i was offered 300 refund which I accepted, I still have not be refunded this money. I feel like we hired a van with a bed not the lovely campervan which was described and I feel cheated as having agreed to a much smaller refund than I initially asked for, this has not been refunded. Response from Katrina We’re very sorry that the electrics failed during your hire and completely know how frustrating this was for you. We arranged for a mechanic to come out twice to try and resolve the issue, but unfortunately he was unable to locate the fault and, if anything, made matters worse. We truly regret that this disrupted your trip. As soon as you raised your concerns, we responded straight away and agreed on a £300 refund, which you accepted. We then asked for your bank details to process this refund, but we haven’t yet had a reply. Please do send them across so we can transfer the refund immediately. We always want our customers to feel looked after, even when things don’t go to plan, and we’re very sorry again that this was your experience. Kind regards, The Camper Co

It was all very organised doing the handover and returning the vehicle. Definitely realised we would need a electric hook up for the motorhome to work fully. But would definitely do it again. August 2025

Everything in a motorhome works on a leisure battery and gas, apart from the 240v plug socket, which does need an electric hook-up to be used — so you’re absolutely right, it makes a big difference to have one on site. Motorhome is lack of maintenance! The bracket to hold fresh water pipe come off because all screw come off. The waste water pipe bracket just 2 out of 4. The owner said need to investigate why screws come off. I dispute immediately because this is not my fault or liability. I can’t use toilet and fresh water on teip April 2025

The handover with Helen was straight forward and instructions were clear and concise, driving was easy,van was great at all times, without fault. We had a great time exploring the lake district in Robyn the van. The motorhome was perfect for all our needs. Overall great service given 5* August 2024

The campervan was hired to us in a dangerous and unsafe condition. Within half an hour of leaving home with it one tyre shredded and blew out on the motorway. Two other tyres were then found to be in a damaged and unsafe condition. These weren’t part of the checks carried out by the company at the time of recording imperfections / defects to the vehicle at the hire out. Company communication is however quick and they did send someone out to put the spare wheel on, and they were happy to refund our own outlay for having to pay for new tyres on the other ones. 2 entire days of our 5 day rental was ruined having to deal with these issues. On our return I complained to The Camper Co- as advised on the Goboony website to try and resolve issues with them in the first instance. They were prepared to refund us the hire amount, minus their own Goboony admin fees. I don’t see why their admin fees should be my problem. August 2024

We’re truly sorry for the experience you had—it’s absolutely not the standard we aim to provide, and we completely understand how upsetting and disruptive this must have been, especially on what should have been an enjoyable trip. We take safety very seriously, and we’re deeply concerned that this happened. The tyres are part of our regular checks, but clearly, something was missed or developed unexpectedly, and for that, we sincerely apologise. We’re glad we were able to respond quickly at the time, arrange for assistance, and cover the costs of the additional tyres, but we understand that this didn’t make up for the time lost and the stress caused. In terms of the refund, we’re sorry you feel disappointed regarding the Goboony admin fees. Unfortunately, these are third-party charges that we don’t have control over, but we do understand how frustrating that feels from your perspective. Your feedback on this is noted, and we’ll continue to raise this with the platform to try to improve how situations like this are handled in future. We really appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and once again, we’re very sorry your experience wasn’t what it should have been.

This was our first time out in a motorhome and we had a great time. The van was super clean, reliable and easy to drive even for a newbie. Helen was fabulous gave us a great tour round before we left and made sure we were okay. June 2024

This was our first experience of a campervanning break away & I must say it was a positive fun experience. Katrina's Camper Company was good overall, she was always professional, prompt responses to any questions or requirements we had. However, there were a few slight issues or errors in the initial campervan advert on GoBoony, one being that we selected a couple of certain amenities, a toilet & shower on board. We quickly found out on arrival of picking up the campervan that there was no shower on board. Also there were other features in the advert that the campervan supposedly had which were park assist, air con & cruise control, but unfortunately the campervan did not have them. Fortunately, we discussed these missing amenities/features with Katrina & came to a reasonable resolution. With all this said, I would recommend Katrina's Camper Company to others, the roadtrip away has given us the urge to book more, so that's a positive sign. June 2024

Katrina could not be more helpful. Really easy, smooth process and goes the extra mile to accommodate pick up and drop off of her van on the 2 occasions we have hired from her. Spotlessly clean vans 2 with all that you need to set off - just packs your own bedding and food. Would highly recommend. September 2023

Do not hire for the camper co .very poorly maintained vehicles. We had to replace tyres .had breakdowns.could not supply European essentials or correct paperwork.and no customer support from Goboony July 2023

Response from Katrina Hi Ian, thanks for your review, as explained upon collection, the damage was from a previous hire and we temporarily fixed it so you could continute with your hire, this has now been repaired, all the correct paperwork was provided and the european essentials were not provided as you didnt respond to our request on which countrys you were visiting so we could ensure everything was in order, we did however reimburse you the full amount for the essentials you purchased. The breakdown was an unfortunate incident and the first breakdown we have had in 5 years, you were dealt with promptly and recovered to a hotel which was paid for by ourselves. We cannot speak on behalf of goboony customer support but we have never had an issue with contacting them or resolving any issues in the past.

Excellent Service. I hired this motorhome for a long weekend and the whole process from start to finish was spot on. Great communication, great handover. The Motorhome is in great condition and drives perfectly. Everything you could want. Will definitely be looking to hire again. Highly recommended A+++ June 2023

We had a lovely holiday in Poppy even though the weather was horrendous. She was well equipped having everything that we needed. Katrina was friendly and helpful answering any questions we had prior to our holiday as well as talking us through how Poppy worked when we picked her up. There was a safe place to leave our car. We would recommend holidaying in Poppy. September 2022
