I am an active woman of 42 years old, mother of 2 children, 9 and 11 years old, and partner of Arjen. Our love for camping started 15 years ago with the purchase of an old Volkswagen bus with Norway as our first trip. Wonderful country to stay in. West coast of France, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Sweden and the Netherlands followed. Each one is recommended. With the expansion of our family and the growing children, we grew out of our bus. That is why we bought this alcove Hymer with bunk bed last year. Ideal layout for us, where the beds are always 'ready' and we can sit without having to convert. Compared to the bus also (much) more luxury: 3 hobs, a freezer, larger bed, bicycle rack for 4, hot water, toilet, shower.
We love going away for weekends, but with 4 sporty family members, that doesn't happen very often. In addition, we bought our dream house, which is also a big DIY project. That means we won't be away for long this summer and we want to give a family or couple the experience of a camper. But be prepared because the camper virus is contagious!
