I have lived in Bristol for many years but grew up in Wales. There is a Welsh word 'hiraeth' which describes a deep longing for home. I love to head back over the Severn bridge with Myfanwy and my dog Otto to reconnect with my Welsh roots. My favourite destinations are the beaches of the Gower, Pembrokeshire, and Cardigan Bay. For shorter trips, I like to head to the Wye Valley and Brecon Beacons.
