Postbusje (2017, Euro 6 diesel) has the advantage that it is a car to which the normal rules apply. In principle you can park anywhere and then spend the night there. Economical (5 Lit diesel/100km) and the lowest toll rate.
A microcamper gives you much more flexibility than a camper. Small country roads are never an obstacle, parking is possible at every pitch. You also have more comfort and shelter than with a tent. You don't really stand out, little or no setup and breakdown work, 2 covered beds, quickly installed and off again.
If you want more comfort and space, you can set up the bus tent at a campsite where you can install your cooking area, table and chairs and chemical toilet. Then you can go on a trip with Postbusje without wasting any time and even cook a meal somewhere in nature and drink something fresh from the mini fridge and also take an afternoon nap on the comfortable bed.
You can also take two bicycles: one on the bicycle carrier (max. 17kg, so no e-bike) and one (e-bike) in the car with the bed folded up.
There is plenty of room under the bed for your luggage and if you use the supplied plastic bins for your clothes, you can quickly get your belongings and tidy up again.
What is provided: blackout curtains and sun blinds, cooking and eating utensils, gas stove with one burner, bucket with lid, 2 tables, compact chemical toilet if desired (smallest Portapotti model), extension cable and Euro camping adapter, bottom sheet, spacious "bus tent" (see photos), drinking water jerry can (10 liters).
The living space in this camper van is very limited. Unable to sit up on the bed. The bed is 185 cm long and 120 wide, but taller people can put their feet out when you lay the front seats flat.
PS:
1/ The insurance only covers people from the age of 26, provided they have had a driver's license for three years!
2/ The French Post installed a speed limiter that allows you to reach a maximum speed of 110 km/h on the highway, but without loss of power: so you can overtake safely on secondary roads.
3/ Post van has air conditioning, cruise control, automatic transmission, cigar lighter at the back.
The price:
If you pay €65/day to Goboony, I will have €26/day left after deducting insurance (comprehensive + assistance) and service costs. If I drive 1000 km/week, I receive €0.19/km. If you know how much a car costs, you will understand why I can only give 1000km included for this price.
