A TASTE OF THE CAMPER LIFE
Once upon a time, a long time ago, we traveled around with a tent from Aldi. In the meantime, after a small expansion of the family, and some older and possibly wiser years, we travel around with a real camper.
Fancy a breath of fresh air somewhere along the coastline? Or taking a bike tour in the Netherlands? Walking in the Ardennes hills? Wine tasting in Burgundy? A few days, a weekend or a longer period away. It is possible. Go on tour with our Benimar Cocoon and leave with the benefit of a lot of knowledge and experience from our side.
This car is a classic and well-known Benimar model with a Ford Transit engine at the front. Nice automatic without changing gears, ahh... that's a bit of a holiday. If you don't fall into the trap of rushing everywhere too quickly, this car offers ample comfort. A kitchenette, shower and mini-toilet provide some extras. There is a spacious trunk area at the back. A bicycle rack at the back completes the whole. Furthermore, you have an internal battery as far as the electrical supply lasts (or plug it into the socket at the campsite!), a water tank and ample lighting. You can use the gas tank for heating and cooking.
The vehicle is a 5-person camper of the type 2+2+1. 4 people sit in the direction of travel, 1 in the opposite direction. Seat belts are available. In order to give the kids some fun, we recommend rotating every now and then. Yes, you also have to give up the front seat sometimes. At the back there is a double bed with a middle strip where someone else can squeeze in. A pull-out 2-person camper bed is available. At the bottom you can in principle make another sleeping area. Or just bring a tent for those who want to sleep outside!
We set up the camper. Kitchen equipment (pots, pans, cutlery, bottle opener, cutting board, etc.) is available as well as a camping table and chairs for outside. The awning provides, if the wind is not too strong, some shade or shelter from the rain. Inside there are quite a few cupboards so you can't find your stuff anymore, because where was it again. Standard mattress is ready. Do you provide blankets? A gas bottle to get started is also there. The power cable is ready, as well as a water hose. Furthermore, some standard usable material such as a bucket, dustpan, brush, sweeping brush, outdoor mat, toilet fluid, etc.
Of course we ask you to return the camper as clean as possible. That way it is at least half ready for the next trip. Thanks in advance!
Please feel free to come and have a look if you would like to know more.
Greetings - Pieter
