Our motorhome: Chausson Exaltis 6010 Integrated

Most motorhomes are built on an existing van van. The big advantage of an integrated camper is that it is built from start to finish as a camper. This means that the interior and the cockpit are arranged much more efficiently. Our camper has a limited length of less than 7 meters, but nevertheless offers a sea of space with a large dining area, kitchen, bathroom, wardrobe and in the back a large garage that can be opened on three sides.

An integrated camper has much larger windows, so that the view while driving is optimal.

About our Camper

Our motorhome is a brand new Chausson Exaltis 6010 Integrated on a Fiat Ducato 2.3 liter Turbo diesel. It was delivered by the factory in early March 2017.

It is a nice medium size (6.68 meters), which makes it relatively easy to handle even for people without a lot of camper experience, while still offering enough space for 2 to 4 people.

The cabin is equipped with:

We opted for a camper with a comfortable living space, plenty of cupboard space and a spacious bathroom with separate shower (80x80cm!), Separate WC and sink and a spacious dressing area.

The camper has a double bed with a very comfortable mattress for motorhomes, which is pulled down above the cabin seats. During the day, the bed incl. Duvet and pillow is folded against the ceiling. If 4 people sleep, the dining area can be transformed into another double bed.

The dining area consists of a large adjustable L-shaped sofa and a straight two-person sofa. The table is adjustable in all directions. In short, together with the two swiveling front seats, there is plenty of room to relax with your legs up!

Above your head a large panoramic skylight to admire the stars.

In the camper there is ample storage space for clothes and other personal items. In addition, there is a large garage over the entire width.

The camper has a large fridge with freezer (175 liters), a hot air ring heater that runs on the diesel from the tank, a large solar panel with 2 extra batteries and a bicycle rack.

For outside there is a table with 4 chairs and a large awning.

Why rent a Motorhome in France?

Wherever you rent a motorhome, the maximum number of kilometers you can travel with it is almost always limited. Extra kilometers will be charged separately. It is therefore inexpensive to rent a camper in the Netherlands for a holiday in the South of France. With the outward and return journey from the Netherlands alone, you are at the maximum number of kilometers. That still restricts you the freedom to go wherever you want, while this is one of the reasons for renting a camper!

Our Auberge is located three quarters of the way south, about 1000km from Utrecht. About halfway between Paris (450km) and Montpellier (350km) and between Lyon (230km) and Bordeaux (350km). To be more precise, Auberge de la Providence is located 70km southwest of Clermont Ferrand in the beautiful Parc Regional des Volcans on the flanks of the Puy de Sancy, the highest volcano in the region. The Massif Central in the middle of France is a wonderful region to visit at your own pace with the camper. Full of fantastic cheap or free places to camp at crater lakes, on deserted mountain passes, at medieval villages, castles, spa towns or in the middle of the woods. You can easily spend a week exploring the Massif du Sancy, the Cantal Mountains, the Combrailles and the Parc Naturel Livradois-Forez. All within a 2 hour drive from Saint Donat!

If you want to go further: the Mediterranean, the Atlantic Ocean, Bordeaux, Lyon, the Alps or the Pyrenees are all half a day away. Even a trip to Spain is within reach.

Our camper is equipped with a 150 Watt solar panel and 2 extra batteries that give you complete freedom to stand where you want (where the police are allowed, of course!).

During the rental period we park your car safely and covered for free.

Insurance

The camper is All-Risk insured with a deductible of 1200 €. The insurance is valid throughout Europe. In addition, there is assistance with roadside assistance, a flat tire, towing assistance, etc.

Note: for loss and theft of property outside the camping car, your health costs, repatriation, etc. you must take out your own insurance!
