We would like to introduce our Volkswagen Karmann camper named Remco to you. We have deliberately chosen this camper because it is proven quality and simple technology. In the base this is a Mercedes Sprinter with a very reliable VW engine. As a car enthusiast I do not want to withhold this information from you.
For the first time we want to rent out our camper this summer, because we don't use it ourselves in the high season. We always travel with two people and enjoy our trips with this camper immensely. The camper is perfectly equipped for 2 adults and in terms of space also especially suitable for 2 people, but in principle you can also travel with more people. All 6 seats (on license plate) have a seat belt.
(PLEASE NOTE: we only rent the camper to adults over 25 years old and if children travel along they must be over 12 years old).
The camper is designed with 4 sleeping places. There is a double bed in the alcove (130 cm x 200 cm) and a dinette (the seating area can be adjusted to create a sleeping place (100 cm x 175 cm, can be extended in width to 120 x 175 cm)). Bed linen is not included.
The camper has a seating area where you can sit with 4 people. The 'bathroom' has a chemical toilet and a sink. The kitchen contains a gas stove (3 burners), sink, refrigerator with freezer, and complete kitchen inventory. Only towels / tea towels etc. and a coffee maker you have to bring yourself!
There is more than enough storage space and in the back of the camper is a 'garage' where, among other things, the outdoor equipment is stored. If you have found a nice camping spot, you can sit under the brand new (Feb 2025) awning at a table with 2 comfortable chairs and under the table are 4 small stools. You can take 2 regular bicycles on the bicycle carrier.
Furthermore, the camper has air conditioning while driving, but also when you are stationary (and connected to shore power).
Everything works on gas (fridge/freezer, cooking, heating), there is a gas bottle connected and always 1 full 20 liter bottle present. Fire extinguisher and fire blanket are present. Shore power cable is also present. Fridge/freezer can run on 12V while driving, 230V shore power or gas.
Some experience and insight with driving a (high, 3 meter) bus or camper is useful. The camper can easily do 120 km/h but a cruising speed of 90-95 km/h is more comfortable and saves on fuel costs. (NB: the camper has a diesel engine, take into account your destination and the environmental regulations that apply there.)
We take out a Goboony day insurance policy, which means that any breakdown assistance/replacement transport/accommodation/repatriation are insured.
All in all a complete and cozy camper with which you can make a nice trip!
