A fantastic travel car and a very nice camper. This is how we experience our VW T5 California Beach.
After a day of traveling, we always arrive at our destination relaxed. Maneuvering on narrower roads or in villages or cities and parking is essentially no different than with a normal passenger car. The powerful engine makes it easy to conquer any mountain.
The car itself is equipped with every luxury: 179 HP engine, DSG automatic transmission, cruise control, automatic air conditioning, multimedia system with navigation, parking heater, seat heating, etc.
The car also works well as a camper.
In the living area, the sliding rear bench (3 seats) can easily be converted into a comfortable bed spanning the entire width of the car (approx. 150x185). The second bed in the lifting roof has a size of approximately 125x190.
Behind the driver's seat is a compact kitchen unit with sufficient storage space for kitchen utensils, kettle and coffee maker. The kitchen unit offers space for a glass-top covered sink with water tap, clean and dirty water tank (2x 12 liters), a folding table with a 2-burner gas hob and a table that can be used flexibly on both sides. An extra separate grill/cooker for outdoor use is part of the permanent inventory.
In this layout of the bus we opted for a separate Dometic CoolFreeze cool box with a capacity of 21 liters. When we are on the road, the cool box is behind the passenger seat. At the destination, the cool box moves to the driver's seat. This appears to work excellently.
The passenger seat can be rotated, so it can be used as a seat in the living area.
We had 230V installed in the camper van with an external CEE connection and charging equipment for both the car battery and the household battery. Further furnishings include the standard built-in California table with camping chairs, California curtain system, multi-rails with matching retractable awning with loose side wall, and other useful accessories.
A bicycle carrier is available for cycling enthusiasts (on the tow bar).
An operating manual for the camper and the inventory list will be sent by email approximately 1 week before the rental period. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
