The year 2020 was a special year. The engine of daily life came to an abrupt halt in March when it turned out that the coronavirus was spreading around the world as if the earth were no bigger than a marble. It was a year of important lessons, such as how fragile life actually is. And how important health is and that we have paid far too little attention to it. And how powerful love is and how important the people we love are to us. And that memories are truly gold and never lost. Do you remember that we said to each other that we would one day build a camper (if not, I will now reveal that you can find this under the heading introducing ourselves)? The year 2020 taught us another important life lesson: one day is now.
We are new to Goboony after Camptoo went bankrupt. Good to know is that we had 15 reviews with only 5 stars on Camptoo and we would like to make new renters happy with this fantastic camper.
Together we built Onnie on the Road, our own VanLife camper with which we could go on an adventure closer to home. Equipped with all the comforts and above all fully equipped to be Offgrid! In 2024 we made the camper completely sleek with a new floor, cool color on the cabinets and a new step at the door. An engine overhaul and gearbox overhaul were also done with a major service and new tires so that it can go hard again. Onnie has the following cool features:
Kitchen:
- Running cold water with removable spray head
- Gas stove with three burners and a gas oven for warm rolls
- Full-fledged home refrigerator on 230 volts, 85 liters in size
- Built-in trash can in the kitchen so Onnie and nature can stay tidy
- Complete crockery, pan set, coffee maker etc. in the drawers under the oven.
- Storage space above the kitchen, equipped with herbs, cups, etc.
Electra completely renewed in 2024:
- 200 Ampere lithium battery, good for off-grid camping and quickly recharged via the dynamo while driving
- 2 x 80 watt solar panels with MPPT charger for continuous power supply so you can be off grid for longer periods of time
- 2500 watt Etive inverter for the refrigerator and all kinds of other 230V equipment. Switches automatically when you are connected to the power and then also charges the batteries.
- Battery monitor to see how full the battery is
- 8 LED lights in the ceiling divided into two groups of 4 & 2
- atmospheric remote controlled LED strip
- 8 USB ports
- 4 (230 volt) sockets in garage and kitchen
- battery charger with connection point for electricity at the campsite
Water:
- 80 liter fresh water tank
- Shurflo water pump for sufficient pressure during showering and washing dishes
- Outdoor shower with Qlima geyser for a nice warm shower. There is a pop-up shower tent that can be used.
- Filling point via the side
Other:
- Gas oven with 3 burner gas hob
- Fold-out bar
- Fiamma retractable awning
- A comfortable special camper seat for the driver
- Apple Carplay & Android auto multimedia system in the cabin
- Two double sofas with extendable table (storage space underneath)
- Fixed bed of 185 x 150 cm that can be extended in an instant to 185 x 200 cm
- Blinded windows all around, making the space nice and light. We had it blinded again so that it cannot be looked in from the outside, only in the dark.
- Two roof windows for ventilation (multiple positions) equipped with blackout and an insect screen.
- Diesel heater for heating the bus in cold weather
- Extendable (dining) table of 100 x 60 cm
- Storage cabinets over the entire length of the living space (380cm)
- Two high drawers under the bed for storing things
- Spacious garage under the bed.
- Storage space above the cabin
- Portapotti chemical toilet
- Optionally a bike carrier for two bikes and possibly a bike cover. Onnie is equipped with a swivel arm so that the doors can be opened with the bikes on the carrier.
- After the reservation is confirmed, an inventory list can be downloaded to see what items are in the camper, which saves you packing :-)
We are very excited to make our little house on wheels available for others to enjoy and go on adventures with. We look forward to meeting you!
Greeting,
Jennifer, Joost, Noa and Pip
