Thermos is a 2002 VW 1.9TD T4 with a 5 speed manual gearbox. This van has been rented out just a few times during the 2nd half of the 2024 season, joining another van I also rent out, so much of the installation, contents and interior remains almost new.
The interior has been constructed with the aim of maximising space and not adding too much extra weight, but still providing everything needed for a comfortable trip away.
The van is strictly a 2-berth as the front section of the hightop is mainly for the storage of some of the provided equipment and the rear section is mainly for your bags, keeping the lower van space a much clearer space to enjoy. The hightop aperture also allows you to stand up fully (up to ~6'2/190cm), when cooking or using the sink.

***Whilst this classic camper is from 2002, it is very good condition and the installation uses very modern technology. The 1.9TD engine is geared to allow it easily keep up with traffic, allow for overtaking when necessary and not feel sluggish up hills. Numerous suspension components have been recently replaced including brand new Meyle shocks and springs. As above, I've purposefully kept the weight of the install down to ensure drivability is not impacted. It's very straight-forward to drive and is absolutely perfect for highland roads***
