Big Blue – The 4 birth Fiat "Ducamper"

The luxury of combined "on or off-grid" existence in our full height L3H2 Fiat Ducato 4 birth (two fixed, double bunks) with belted seating for 5; consider Big Blue as a home away from home, rather than a compervan rental. Carefully designed and converted by us for practical lifestyle and functional use whether you are heading to the beach (Yes, there is surfboard storage) or into the woods (don't forget to put your bikes on the back).

Converted during the Summer of 2022, following a major engine recommission (after its first life as a national fitness hire delivery vehicle). Big Blue has an impressive 300watt solar set up which charges the two leisure batteries for ample power, day or night. A 800w inverter can be used, should you need temporary 240v power when away from the grid (please check your appliance).

A large underslung water supply replenishes the (10L) hot water tank as you use it (enough for 1-2 hot showers at a time), with cold water feed inside and an external cold (dog or human) shower. Water easily filled via side filler and monitored by internal digital display.

Powerful 240v Heating via ceramic heater (when hooked up) with back-up 12v heating for those off-grid colder nights (leisure batteries can increase temperature by 4 degrees per hour) ; the van is fully insulated (on all 4 sides) and more than cosy when sleeping 4.

Bathroom facilities include warm shower (circa. 5-10 minutes on 240v, 10-15 minutes off-grid 12v) and flushing toilet that can be used in various configurations (no need to leave the van for a late night wee). An ideal space for wet or muddy gear with hanging space and vented through the roof light to manage any moisture or smells.

Supplied with full bedding and linen, beach towels and beach rug, shower mat, tea towels and dish cloth, washing up liquid etc USB charging ports in front and rear. Two folding camping chairs, table, two single gas burners, 38L electric coolbox (can easily run all night off-grid) and one electric hob (can only be used when on 240v). Usual kitchen set up with pans, chopping boards, mugs, cutlery etc

We have a Fox Red Labrador who likes to travel with us (hence 5 belted seats) and we understand you may wish to bring your pooch on your adventure; furry friends are welcome but please let us know beforehand (we have some extra accessories for your trip). We have two children's car seats available, should you need them.

Big blue has Fiamma level ups for level sleeping, a silver screen for privacy and internal roller blinds on each window.

If you drive to collect Big Blue, there is plenty of street parking (at your own risk) in a quiet residential area and we are easily reached by train or bus (Chichester train station). Please let us know your travel plans and we'll do our best to help you out.
